I wish they’d do something where you can switch out cores of origin that you no longer have use for.

but how many gems are u getting in return if your using the quest gems on average, what is the net loss in gems when you do it. Would have been a better breakdown.

There's needs to be something for monster resources, I built all mine to max ages ago but keep getting the resource without any use for it

From what I can see, each 3lvl quest returns at least 50 gems, so assuming we can do 2 rerolls (40 gems) without any losses guaranteed

One of the choices from the the 30 "Deluxe Resource Selection Chests" that you get from the Monthly Carnival Card is 100 gems. So, you would immediately get back the 3000 gems (if you have the monthly card).
