You had me scratching my head for a second LMAO You mean he is a certified Pyrotechnician. He is the technician who is setting up and controlling the Pyrotechnics (the stuff going off "pyro" and the "technic"logical system/ system of Technology, used to control it.

One of my favourites from the Live is Engel, the flamethrower wings are amazing.

The guy on the treadmill is Flake. He used to run around the stage, but there was a collision and some injuries, so now he uses a treadmill. Flake still hasn't told the band i he wants to be a permanent member or not. The singer is Till Lindemann, who was a contender for Olympic swimming and is a pyrotechnics expert. The song is about not wanting to get married. Du Hast mich is a German play on words for You have me/You hate me. Like a pun or homophone, just in German. Great band.

@@scottclark3761 , what a lot of people don't understand is that these guys started out in East Germany under Communism. It was illegal to be unemployed then. Being a rock musician was not considered a real job. They worked real jobs and were part of an underground music scene. I believe Flake was a Tool and Die Maker. These guys were cutting their teeth behind the Berlin Wall. I watched an interview with Till where he talked about what he had heard of America as a child. He kind of thought it was like a fairy tale, something mothers tell their kids. It is kind of different to wrap your head around what it must have been like to grow up in that society.

Two things about these ‘Du Hast’ reaction videos I’ll never get tired of: People always saying “is that dude on a treadmill?”, and the reactions they have when Till Lindemann starts singing; they’re usually shocked, awed or surprised when they hear his voice. I was in the crowd for the same performance in England, it was epic!!!

If you don't get along with any other language besides English, you can always get information on Google .. best before you watch the video! it always seems as if the Americans blame the band for not understanding them..🤯

I've seem them live 5 times and never signed anything. When buying your ticket you get a warning though: the front rows are considered the "heat zone", enter at your own risk. That was during the late 90s and early 00s, no idea if things have changed lately.

They hired guys, who did it for them and they did not do a good job, that is why Till went for it. As I know he has the main licence and the band members have the "little one" as his assistents. From that concert in 1996 in Berlin I only know, that one person had to stay in hospital the others could leave the same day. It was a "burnin sign" which suddenly fell down from the ciling. Till went off stage to help with the injured persons and I als was reading, that the band went to hospital after the concert to have a look if they are doing well. The only burning guy I know was a hired stunt guy for a show at Madison Square Guarden in 2010. @@Iron_Stigmata Good to know, that younger once also still like those guys. By the way, at the start of the Band, Till had stage fright and sometimes it still overcomes him today. The pyro stuff helps him also to concentrate on something else in between, so that he is "not realizing" they are staring at him. ;-) Those guys are very special in so many ways and very nice guys off stage fom what I heard. The Tickets are very fast sold and now I am still waiting for my first one to see. (Should have been in 2020). Thanks for the complement. Since I once got a bit "beaten up" by someone, I always write that, only that people know, that I am not a native speaker. I still don't know if that one even knows German. ;-) I asked this guy, but seems like he doesn't. ;-)

their shows are legendary and their mosh pits are on an even higher level. They have toned down their shows a bit, some of the stuff they used to do on stage can't even be uploaded to youtube due to the content, how i regret not seeing them before they toned it down.

2020.... Rammstein's first American tour. They have sold out every show that they have played in America. But this would have been their 1st full American tour. Their Los Angeles show (Staples center arena) sold out in just a couple of days. So I was hoping they would add an extra date. I wanted to see them so bad. But then covid happened. Rammstein has been around for over 20 years. No lineup changes. They sell out arenas around the world. They are one of the biggest metal bands in the world.

I would put GWAR and even what the great metal band Savatage became in The Trans Siberian Orchestra up there with them as far as unbelievable Stage Shows. All three are very different though. Even the WWE doesn't have pyrotechnics like Rammstein except at Wrestlemania.

I read that the treadmill is used to power their show to keep costs to tickets reasonable prices 🤟

Song is basically wedding vows but instead of yes he says no. "Du hast mich gefracht und ich habe nichts gesacht " translates loosely to you have asked me and I have said nothing. There is also a parallel between the German verb have (hast) and hate (hasst) when in the you form. Rammstein songs tend to have more than one angle. Great reaction. I'm sure someone else can elaborate or give a more comprehensive idea.

I'll be honest - the music didnt do it for me but thats ok! What I really loved was the hot pink "red solo cup" you drank out of! Before you laugh at me, I am a senior and have basically been in my home for a year - since Covid started. I desperately need a hip replacement and have mega underlying health problems. (But I just got my 1st Covid vaccine shot today. Yayy!) So I dont get out much, but where did you get those cups at? I just love the color! Getting ready to send my family out to get me some!!

That's right. The special thing is, this time they do it voluntarily. And it is very special when French people, when they are in France, speak in another language, or sing in another language. Even more so when it is in German.

The fact that so many French people learned German just because of Rammstein and their music is beyond insane!

If you *really* wanna see Rammstein at their heaviest Pyro/show, go see the live/performances of Sonne 2019/2020. That's just on a whole other level, even for Rammstein.
