I came to the comments looking for this exact scenario. This biker could also have turned left while continuing to slow down. This biker was NOT paying attention well, especially at low speed. At the first point the car is visible around the bend, the speedometer shows 29. Whether that’s kph, or even mph, this is slow enough to react for safety in this situation. I would say this is not all 100% the cars fault here. Loud pipes DON’T ALWAYS save lives. I bet the loud revving out of no where probably scared the shit out of the driver of that car!

It's called "rev match" before braking. It's a common thing to do when you drive a manual car or motorcycle, you don't have to do it, but it puts less stress on your clutch when you do this. I agree though the biker should've calmed down instead of escalating the situation since now he has to pay for that windshield repair.

@Jellybeans beanie Motorcycles have horns. Just like all road vehicles. You'd be surprised how many people don't use their turn signal on any turn. Plus, if you have brakes, then use them. Revving the engine doesn't do shit. People can't hear you half the time when you rev the engine.

The guy is an idiot. For one, you can't just choose to back up on a street like that, and he acts like he knew she was there but "wanted to back up" Don't know why he'd put himself through that. I once had a lady backup into me in a parking lot. I laid on the horn, she just kept right on coming until she hit me. On the phone I think

It is also possible and more likely that he chose compression braking with the engine first because he was still leaning out of a curve. Hard braking at even a small leaning angle can be disastrous so down shifting before getting upright then braking may have been the better option but it gives the biker less time to actually brake. You can see his right fingers in the video and observe that this is precisely what he did. He did a hard brake after downshifting and getting upright and squaring the forks out of the curve. We must not forget the biker is riding a motorcycle and he can't simply slam on the brakes at any time. Even truckers try not to hard brake on curves because trailer brakes engage .5 seconds after the tractor brakes and in that 1/2 second after the tractor has started braking, the trailer keeps going and can cause a jack knife. I must also emphasize that none of this would have happened if the driver of the car had not turned left from the far right lane. That was the action that caused the event. I think the motorcycle rider did well.

5:15 I love how the girl says "I was too close to you" and the guy says "exactly" as if you're legally allowed to stop and reverse on a roadway, the distance between cars is there so there's time to stop in an emergency, not so the person in front can be stupid

I suspect he was tired of having to deal with a difficult driveway. It's no excuse for hitting her but she was too close. It was obvious he wanted to reverse so she should have backed off. Still, he should have given her time to do that.

@@rickyray2794 it was 100 percent avoidable if the motorcyclist braked instead of revving for no good reason, rule number one is to assume traffic will pull shit like this, but the driver 100% caused that accident, yes it could have been avoided by the motorcyclist but the driver had no business trying to cross traffic like that

lol he didn't accelerate. he put the bike on limiter meaning he was clutch in and actually slowing down. also......this is important...... who TF makes a left hand turn from the right lane and across 2 lanes of traffic.... im pretty sure thats illegal in most states

Dont take my word on this but on another video someone said that he just got his bike fixed just days before this crash because of another bad car driver. Obviusly its still not accepteble what he did but as a biker myself i understand that anger. I think we all do

They are both idiots, if he wants to turn around just give him some space to turn around. But if you can't turn around, he could have easily turned around in that persons driveway on the left

@@izaloozer3957 I 100% would have gone into that drive way, you just keep driving another 5 miles until you can legally turn around. Also, at 4:53 you can see his reverse lights come on as his car is turned slightly. At that point the video is edited, but in reality he was standing there with his reverse lights on for a while and she did not back up. I already would have backed up a long time ago. Some people just have too big of an ego.

There's this little thing non idiots do called a K-Turn. Regardless...Unless she's a psychic...She had no way of knowing he was planning to turn at all because he didn't signal. When he started reversing, she may not have been able to do the same due to a car behind her...We'll never know.

@@laurasanchez7105 If you want to turn then you have to do it safety, meaning you have to follow a route that will take you in the opposite direction. These roads are one way. YOU CANT JUST REVERSE WHEN YOU LIKE.
