Live up to no one's expectations but your own. Don’t compare yourself to others, just try to connect with them. And don’t worry about wasting time. Everyone wastes their time. Hell, Elon Musk wastes his time. Everyone that has come and gone has wasted their time. The trick is to enjoy yourself while you’re doing it, whatever it might be. So long as you’re not hurting anyone, you’re doing pretty damn well. Do away with shame. All it does is hollow you out. I’m not saying you should go out on the street buck naked telling every passer-by your deepest secrets, but you do have to be easy on yourself in this life. No one gets it right the first time. Best you can do is learn, so do your best. Get a job. Get some change in your pocket. Save. Make sure you’ve got warm clothes for when it’s cold. Make sure you’ve got food to eat and a means to cook it. Make sure you’ve got a roof over your head. Make sure you’ve got water to drink and clean with. Love your family, warts and all.
