Little update: I will be getting a rig next week, so there will be no need to build one (I might do it at some point for fun), but thank you for all the suggestions!

You can also put wooden board on the floor and screw the pedals on it, that is how I did and it's working ok.
It's really hard to use pedals with any resistance on the floor, I bought a second hand chassis and seat for 250$ and it's super worth it
