Identifying Iceberg Orders In The Order Flow Depth Of Market
www.orderflows.com/oft6.html
Understanding iceberg orders in the order flow is important for traders for several reasons:
Hidden Liquidity: Iceberg orders provide a mechanism for traders to hide the full size of their orders from the market. By only revealing a portion of their order, traders can prevent excessive slippage and maintain control over the available liquidity. Understanding iceberg orders allows traders to recognize when hidden liquidity may be present in the market, which can affect price dynamics and trading strategies.
Market Impact: Large orders can have a significant impact on the market, causing price movements and potentially affecting the trader's execution. By utilizing iceberg orders, traders can mitigate their market impact and avoid signaling their intentions to other market participants. Recognizing and understanding iceberg orders helps traders assess the true supply and demand dynamics in the market.
Order Book Transparency: Iceberg orders provide insight into the depth of the order book and the behavior of market participants. By observing the frequency and size of iceberg orders, traders can gauge the presence of hidden liquidity and the potential motivation of other traders. This information can assist in making more informed trading decisions and identifying potential support or resistance levels.
Market Manipulation: Understanding iceberg orders helps traders identify potential market manipulation or spoofing. Spoofing involves placing large orders with the intention of canceling them before execution to create a false impression of supply or demand. Recognizing spoofing attempts through iceberg orders can help traders avoid falling victim to manipulative trading practices.
Price Discovery: Iceberg orders can influence price discovery in the market. By selectively revealing portions of their orders, traders can impact the available liquidity and potentially influence the direction of the market. Understanding iceberg orders allows traders to interpret price movements more accurately and navigate market conditions effectively.

Hey Mike, I have figured out a way to spot iceberg orders on footprint. I've been using it to my advantage for some time now. I'm sharing this because some people might find it helpful. To spot iceberg orders, I use renko 10tick. Normally where iceberg order is placed, everytime price goes to the specific price, you can see the absorption of contracts as well as buy or selling taking place. For example, if im trading gold and there's an iceberg buy order sitting at 1900 level, everytime price goes there, I will see absorption there or reload of contracts. Also on this specific price, you can see string of buys. Its really hard to explain in writing however I can make a short video and tag you on this

Yes please!!! How can I contact you to get the video??? Thank you in advance!
You've really been on a roll lately with all these great videos. I had a video recommendation I dont think you've made. How do you go about trading consolidation areas? Specifically do you have a method for predicting which way price is going to breakout to? I trade the ES and even with orderflow charts I find this difficult.
Hello, thank you for your great video, could you show one of your trades why you chose a certain zone and why you entered there and where you placed the stop loss why exactly there. And where did you get out of the store and what did you thank there for?
I have a little clear understanding of delta, max delta, and min delta in a footprint chart, but I'm not entirely clear on how to identify support and resistance levels. Specifically, I'd like to know how to mark support and resistance levels before the market opens. Kindly please make video pls.
That 27k Asks in the DOM is the cumulative value of the 10 levels of asks below (a setting in the DOM preferences). It's not 27k asks at that 1 level.
Could you make a video talking about context? Im currently going through your Delta course (which is awesome by the way). I see you show manyy great examples, but i just dont understand the context behind it. I dont believe that you just stare at a 10 range chart on ES , wait for a move down, then look for your setup. I believe there has to be some context of whether you anticipate the market to move higher or lower during that session, could you please make a video about that? Thank you !
Hi Mike, I enjoy your channel and have just started diving into exocharts. I'm curious, I've never heard you discuss the market maker and the business model they perpetuate in the charts. Market maker shows his hand in order flow and I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.
Hey can you please do an order flow video going into depth on finished vs. unfinished auctions? IE how is it possible that the top tick can have 0 bids? Was there REALLY no buyer left in the world who was interested in at least putting ONE bid order in? Thanks
Hi mike pls 🙏🙏 make a video about orderflow trading in forex, crypto.... and what is intraday, scalping, swing trading is ? But mainly make a video about orderflow trading in forex pls thank you
ok, Ice bergs are useful to know but today/this morning "11/14/23, MES" from 2am to 3 am has been tuff on the long traders. I am not sure but it looked like there was a lot of Delta pressure going on! Seemed like the buyers were doing their best to push prices higher but the sellers had different plans. can you go into more detail on what Delta pressure is ? I have watched your video addressing it but wonder if there is more to it.
Hello, how to contact you if i have questions before I make the purchase?? Is there black friday sale?

Really appreciate your insights on the way institutional traders think, what they do, and WHY they do it. As a trader I want to be on their side. Your insights help to enable that.
