One good idea for the dailies is looking up what happened on that day in history. Then you write out what's noteworthy to you and decorate the page up a little.

I'm always coming back to this video for ideas. I'm currently using the weekly section to track spending. So I go thru all spending accounts and credit cards once a week and write out all the money the family had spent. Sometimes, when I see the money I've spent on journal accessories, it gives me a kick in the butt to stop spending 😂

I will be using the 2023 English Cousin for functional planning. Right now I am using the avec to finish my thesis. You have given me great ideas of how to better utilize my planner for this task. Like list my articles read and cited in the top 100. I will also be using the front part of tracking writing, reading, data handling days. Along with another month (switched in from my Jibun Techo Daily & Weekly this month) for tracking which section I am writing or working on. Plus I have all the months in 2023 to use as trackers. I come mostly from the weeks in Hobonichi so it is overwhelming to have all this space. However, it is better than lugging two planners around for my thesis besides my Weeks EDC.

For the time table I'll use it for daughter college class for each semester since it will vary. I'll change the times based on when she starts her first class (9am) and when classes ends (3pm). We take her to/ from school for her first year. Love your ideas.

Love listening to you. I am a newbie I use the month monthly verticals to make sure I pay all bills. Easy to copy over to next month. Weekly I use to track what I eat and where hubby is working since he is a sub contractor. And daily I decorate and journal!

I like this. I'm a slow brain person. Though I can pause and listen to each section, I wish each had its own video. For example, I track mood, but I happen to have many moods during one day because unexpected things can suddenly happen. I wake up happy, all is beautiful, then somethg made me angry, then sad, then I'm happy again...sorry for be a human and each event has its value to me and many days I'm fine all is ok. Thank you so much because you gave me a different perspective, ideas and changes.💚💜❤️🌷🌹

I’m thinking about using a Cousin for memory keeping and journaling. Use the year at a glance for weather - monthly to list a happy moment for each day - weekly for memory keeping - dailies for the journaling challenge I want to do plus any random journaling I want to do.

Great job! For me, the best thing about the cousin is there’s always room to at least write down one thing if I’m not feeling creative or like journaling. Forward planning is super easy, too. I just need to do more with it. Your video was very helpful! Thank you! Liked and followed!

It,s evening overhere and i,m tired. I do have some ideas from other video,s by you allready in use. Have also seen the video where you are teaching your friend Mary how to journal. It cracked me up. I found your comment on how to use or the purpose of your planner illuminating; ie for productivity, creativity, or tracking. Knowing the purpose helps figuring out which planner works best. I use mine for productivity, but I enjoy seeing what is available out there. I find the planner accessories quite tempting and I buy more than I need or should.

I love your videos. Ironically I found your channel many years ago when I was struggling with my hobonichi weeks. This is the first year that I'm trying the hobonichi cousin. I love all of your ideas. The yearly overview pages I track my pay days and bills. I use different colors for each bill and pay day. The tracker pages I use in a weird way I guess lol I watch mostly Asian dramas so I write down the name of the show on the day it's released them wait a day or two for the subtitles and check it off when I've seen the show. The monthly pages I use for fun. I just pick a random sticker or meme that makes me laugh or smile and put it on there. It's so much fun. The weekly I use in different ways. Sometimes I'm in the mood to make lists so it doesn't really go with a certain day just write out the lists and other times I use it as a memory planner and sometimes all I write down is work weather and bills. It just depends on my mood or how busy I am. I'd rather have something on the pages than nothing at all but that's just me. The daily pages are my most fun pages. I was going to journal but thats not who I am. I mostly use it as a currently page. I print out pictures of shows, music, or books I'm currently enjoying. I also print or write memes and quotes. I like to use random washi and stickers just for fun. No worry about matching or anything. Just fun. Sometimes when I really enjoy a show or movie I'll even make a spread with pictures and quotes and write a small review. This is the first time where I'm not so strict with myself and just going with my mood and having fun planning. It's great! Can't wait for your next video

I plan to use the dailies for a 5 minute journal and also wrote the scripture of the day, memory keeping on the hourly. Also THANK YOU for the blank flip through. I literally spent all day looking for a video like this just so that I could jot down my intentions for each page, section by section, BEFORE deciding to purchase. 🙃

There are so many things that the Hobonichis can be used for 😁! I really like many of the ideas that you had. I also had trouble with the dailies. They were either too big for the day or not enough space. Sometimes I had way too much ephemera from the day to cram on the pages😆! So I’m in a B6 Stalogy this year and use as many pages as I want for journaling 😁! If I used Hobonichi cousin it would be a functional family log, appointments, weather, weight, and steps. For that I thought about getting the April start cousin. I’m not really sure 🤷‍♀️. Thank you for sharing, take care🤗💕!

I use that front section (yearly tracker pages) to keep track of birthdays, anniversaries, etc. This is my first year with the A5 Cousin, I’m a little intimidated. I am not the type to journal, so I really don’t know what I am going to do with all the daily pages.

I've used a cousin for only 2 years and didn't get one this year until now. I missed it. I love having everything in one book except my journal. I used the year at a glance to track paydays & holidays. The year on 4 pages as an index for the days. The weeks to track my schedule& to-do list. Dailys for notes, art, ephemera and minimal journaling. This year I am using a Jibun biz & days in a foxy tn, I'm not having much luck with it which is why I bought the spring start cousin.

The spring starts is available on the hobonichi site or you can check Jet Pens but I don’t see it on Amazon yet. The spring 2022 start starts in April. They do not sell a July Start you would have to buy an Avec set for that.
