Good video! VW Buses are cool but £72k? That's beyond crazy for most. And not the first time a VW dealer have attitude problems/don't care lol

It looks a lot better finished inside than the ID3, but so it should at £72,000, also surprising that it doesn't have electrical steering wheel adjustment included. Great colour combination, and very good effort for a first video!

Congrats on your first KZread video 🎉 I also have an e-Niro which I’m swapping for a Buzz! I wanted a black interior (for practical purposes) and weirdly could only choose the Life, as they didn’t offer black interiors for any other spec in the UK 🤷‍♂️ Mind you, it saved me a bucket load of cash, as the box ticking is limited 😇 Enjoy your journey… looking forward to more videos

Lucky you! I'll keep an eye out for you driving around as I'm in the same general area. I'd be livid with the financing company, they literally had one job to do!

Double tap on the heating touchpad and then you automatically get seat heaters! Great little shortcut without having to go into the screen menus

Seeing you check out the car as a new owner was fun. A tiny bit frustrating watching you feel all around the console including the part that you can pull open to get inside, but nevertheless fun. I've compulsively watched all the KZread videos and don't even plan to buy one for a while so I knew all about the console openings and even that the whole thing is removable. Enjoy your new Buzz!

shouldn't the dealer be showing you how to operate it.

If the left climate is on eco means if no one is sitting there it will turn that side off and saver battery.

We had these on site and being delivered to dealers, by road, a few weeks ago. Software is something of a nightmare however and, as has been said, it is way too expensive for what it is, which makes it rather uncool. Plenty of better alternatives - even within the VW Group.

Congrats! Very jealous as the US we have to wait until 2024 for the long wheel base Buzz as that’s the only one we are getting unfortunately. For the heated seats, you actually don’t have to go into the climate menu, you just double tap the climate slider with two fingers and it should turn on the heated seat for the side you tapped on. I will be subscribing to see your journey with the Buzz, hope you enjoy it!

I love the discovery aspect of the way this is shot, I’d normally be dismissing it for being a bit amateur but I’ve enjoyed the honest journey of your video. I’m currently working on getting my in-laws into the poverty spec Buzz (the lesser ranged Citroen e-Berlingo) in the next few months, I’ll be happy to follow your journey!

Well done Jen. Good video. I have been wondering when an actual customer would get (nearly get 😄) their Buzz. Still waiting to hear about mine. Pretty poor performance by the dealer. I am expecting a thorough “walk-through” when mine eventually arrives.

Yes it was the first time that anybody in the UK has been in one let alone test driven one. The dealers got theirs on the Wednesday 2 days before mine was ready to pickup on the Friday. I pre-ordered the Buzz in March with no opportunities to test drive, as is the case with many new cars.

Have subscribed hoping to see some real world usage vids on it over 2023 .

Even if you take VW finance for a day, VW will give you 2-3years free servicing......I’ve done it 3 times now (works on new or used as long as its ‘approved’) You can also ‘borrow’ less than the vehicle cost (~£5000 minimum ?)...lived for 12+months inAustralia in a very basic ‘68 Combi (no pop-top!!). I want one of these!

Thank you for providing a first hand owner's insight into the ownership and use of the ID Buzz. Here in Cyprus, I don't expect to see one for at last a year or so. And by the time I order mine, it will have the longer range and dual motor options available! Looking forward to seeing more of your experiences, although it worried me that on your video, it displayed 2 problems on your central display. Was it ever noticed by you or the dealer? And what was the cause of them, showing up on your screen? Many happy miles of motoring!

I think you’re right . Judging by content on you tube VW are having problems with software on their EV screens etc in China. I do think however this will be a great buy when the teething problems are sorted out especially in a sunny country with solar panels ☀️

Very, very lovely. This is the best car in the world right now.

Will follow this with interest but I suspect that you will experience a lot of problems with this based on VW passed history. Software will be an issue especially connectivity with VW app and you will get no help whatsoever from the dealer ….I sincerely hope I am proved wrong because I love the look of the Buzz

Do you have a first edition? When did you order? I ordered in June and have just been told I can’t have 2 tone unless I want to wait till September 24!!! Changed to solid green but no build date yet.

@@FlyingtwigletI got the Style, not the first edition, and all the options. I put a deposit down in March, ordered in early July. My theory is that because I had the high spec that also meant the biggest profit margin for VW, so mine went to the front of the queue.

@@RealBuzzLife 👍 good strategy. Odd how they can 2 tone yours but not mine?? I have an ID3 so am familiar with the software. You might need WeConnect ID as it’s different from the non ID version. Like you found, climate controls are easy to get to. What I find hard is getting from Google maps on Car Play back to radio/media section.

There was one of these at my local dealer last week. It looks huge, too big to fit in a normal domestic UK garage. Not that I can afford one, but can anyone confirm that it will fit and you still have space to open the door and get out of the Buzz?

Congratulations on your purchase. How long did you have to wait for the buzz from ordering ? What kind of deposit did you have to provide to get the otrdering process moving ? Finally who did you use for the finance, as the 10.5% offered by VW finance is extortionate ?

First deposit in March was £1000, then a second deposit in July of another £1000 when I placed the specific order. I used Forza which was 4.5% cheaper than VW at the time.

@@RealBuzzLife Thank you. We have pondered hard over this purchase and following a detailed and serious discussion with Yeomans Commercials here in Exeter, we’ve decided not to purchase the Buzz. It’s just too expensive, too short on range and too long to wait (Our present lovely E Niro would be a getting on by 2024 -25). This info will help us look again at the finance but that 2 year lead time isn’t going away anytime soon. Thanks again.

Jeez….nightmare on collecting… 😮 hope it goes well next time… I’m an EV owner and happy with my Ioniq 1 , but these UK prices are pushing me away from buying another EV 🙄

Congratulations on your first video! What about the spare tyre? The push switches are of good quality or not? Public charging more feasible than to charge at home…your preferences? The loan time period is for how long…how much extra would you be paying till you own the car?

Hi Rolls, there’s no spare tyre, only run flats. The switches are haptic and do feel good quality, you can really feel the positive feedback as you press them. They’re not as bad as others have complained about. Maybe they’ve been improved since the early ID3s. I’ll be paying the loan for 4years, then I still have £28k to pay 😢

How would you compare ID BUZZ and VW GOLF?

I get my first edition very soon .I put my £3000 deposit down to secure the spot but I have had to give up the two tone paint to make sure my place was kept ? Yet I see all the dealers and other people getting the two tone paint

What was the finance company you mentioned? Was it their fault or VW?

Why was there no sales person doing the handover?

I would not be an early adopter of any VW EV - the software is notriously buggy (but that's true of many other EV's too though), and this is a seriously expensive car. VW seem to have gone overboard on the touch thing too, which is horrible, and it really does look like there's a LOT of scratchy plastics in this car. Not that impressed in all honesty, but I guess if your an 'e'vangelist and you're pretty minted, you don't really care.

The display UI looks crap.

Congrats on getting the iD Buzz, it is certainly great looking. Looks like we are getting the Buzz here in Australia sometime in after mid-2024.

I think your dealer made a mistake. There was an embargo on customer cars being registered and handed over until the middle of last week. I think that’s why you were not able to have your registered. I pick up my 1st Edition in two tone yellow and white later this week. I’m very excited indeed and will post a video of my handover soon.

Good work! I’m very envious…have wanted one of these since first photos published. Hopefully soon!

It seems like VW have major problems with their software. Even they admit it.

72 large? I'm not seeing it. If you needed a bigger vehicle than the very capable Niro I would have looked at the Enyaq myself. But good luck to you anyway.

Right now as of November 23. You can not give these vehicles away. At &72k you’re going to take a very painful financial kicking when you want to get rid. Apparently due to the vehicle weight they’re all registered as a commercial vehicle. Dealers are pre registering them so they’re then used vehicles with massive price reductions. As with the ev transporter they are being handed back as not fit for purpose.

For £72k, this should be an Audi. Far too expensive for a Volkswagen. Also, that interior is really poor quality for a car that costs that much. Screen should be aimed at the driver, as it would be if it was a BMW. Too many touch sensitive controls instead of rotary knobs etc

Far from what the VW bus was ever intended to be. Shame... I'd just get a transporter answer convert it

6 minutes in and already I am getting frustrated. Give me a physical rotary dial to turn the the temperature up or down. So infuriating just keep it simple.

I saw a lady inspecting an e buzz in Bridgend south Wales who looked exactly like you even down to the clothes you are wearing on the 23rd of December, how mad is that!.

Have you previously owned a BMW? Thought only they were stupid enough to have the number plate with the cars name on it.

I would just like to comment that I find your video title very mis-leading and seemingly negative towards the ID Buzz. People scanning YT will see this title and think you had a bad problem with the vehicle itself, instead of your own personal financing that you decided to switch upon arriving to pick up your order. I don't like this practise and no matter what you showed on your video, this turned me right off as again, it will give the appearance of a bad experience from the vehicle itself, and if you are looking to get views, then you will have achieved it as more people watch negative stuff than positive stuff. It's human nature, but it's wrong and I can't stand YT-ers doing this and I am reporting this video and giving it a negative rating. Too bad.

LOL! Your finance should have been all sorted before they even took your order! Crazy stuff
