Icon of the Seas, After Dark | Nighttime Walking Tour of the World's Largest Cruise Ship
The sun has fallen in the Caribbean, and the Icon of the Seas is alive with lights and music. We're taking another walk around the world's largest cruise ship to see what's happening moon rises. Royal Caribbean International's newest ship is the largest in the world. Icon of the Seas is mammoth at 248,663 gross tonnage and 1.196.7 feet long. But it's not just the length; this ship is wide enough to swallow even the Oasis class ships!
Even with its size, the ship never felt crowded with everything Royal Caribbean improving everything it possibly could to address passenger pain points. From check-in to elevators to finding seating, everything was quicker and more efficient than ever before.

Thanks for showing the ship in real life - nice to see how the crowd truly is. I see A LOT of kids; what time of year was this? Also, what time of night was it? We're sailing on Icon in October and we're hoping to avoid all of that. Trust me, I know it's a family cruise line, and I don't hate children, but I'd rather not be bombarded by them - LOL! Btw, you have a new subscriber!

Thanks for watching! This was filmed in April, but it's also at night with fewer things open, so folks are more concentrated around the Royal Promenade. We have a daytime walk video too, and you'll get a better idea of the average crowd spread there. Most of the time, kids will be concentrated around Surfside. That said, the ship almost never felt overcrowded, save for a few smaller areas (like the adults-only Hideaway). The Promenade is wider, the elevators are smarter, and the dining areas have more available seating. It's a noticeable improvement if you've sailed with Royal Caribbean before!
