I'm used to fucked up lyrics, so thought someone messed up the lyrics in the description, until I realized she is saying seeds alongside the instrumental part.

I interpret this song as a band's statement about their experience in and after the corporate music industry. The record label tried to make IFH do stuff they didn't want to do ("They tried to water us down"), which eventually gave IFH courage to go leave the label and go independent ("Just gave us what we need, dropped us underground, that just sets us free"). The start of their independent phase was, naturally, a risk ("This been a rough start , been a rough start") but their first independent album proved to be a sucess ("From the ashes, from the mud, we just keep climbing on up"), the success continued ("Spreading like wild flowers"). And with the Amorphous they are prepared to "Go up in flames" and - most importantly - "down in history, as the ones who break through to find the sun". There are, of course, other ways to interpret the lyrics, but personally I like this one.

Yeah this sounds like a solid interpretation. I also think this song will give hope to any average person that feels like people around them are pushing them down and trying to silence them. Their potential can’t be destroyed, and the efforts to shut them down will only fuel a meteoric rise.

Im thinking its probably about the year 2020. Ariel said Amorphous was that feeling before new growth. The song is called seeds, which grow. There you go. Its not very complicated actually.

I loved her signature pink hair but I am living for this ashy purple, omg. Something to start the day great, so excited for this. Need my IFH fix 💜

You mean two lines they have ready used in songs before? Up in flames the song and then bam bam pop for down in history and from what I remember she says down in history or a variation of that in several other songs.

Recently, Icon for Hire has just been telling us to stop having a terrible year. And I love it

Little more the reminiscent.. look at their song Drugs. it's the same sound chunk. i played both of them and my husband asked if one just didn't have words...

Icon for Hire's musical diversity never fails to amaze me. All the tracks we've heard from the new album thus far are just so different. Really looking forward to what other surprises you have prepared!

See I love the rock focused with electronic fused sounds involved. I can respect and give them nothing but love for doing their own thing and changing with what they want but stuff like this and their first album are just too damn good. Loved your first and second albums, this sounds like it’s going back to your first 2 and for my Personal tastes I might listen more often

Oh, I am LOVING the themes and motifs in this song ALREADY. Talking of uprising, resistance, and revolution through nature- plants and fire and earth? GORGEOUS. I love the play on words with wildfire and wildflowers. I love icon for hire's lyrics.

I feel like sometimes Icon for Hire is ... unadventurous, and they just make yet another song re-stating the same thing over and over (eg. "if everyone's crazy, crazy isn't so crazy"). But then sometimes they get out of their comfort zone, and make something brave and new (even if it is full of references to old songs)... and we get an AMAZING song like this one! Kudos to them for being brave and adventurous on this track: it certainly paid off.
