I like Jonathan. He's a perfect mix of down-to-Earth, mechanical geekiness, excited, and (rightfully so) proud. I hope Jay Leno realizes Jonathan's genius someday, and has him back on his show.

Wow, amazing skill set you have in your shop. What a lucky person to have that Mercedes. Growing up seeing 70s,80s Benz, baby fiat, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot , Renault, Citroen , opel, rovers, defenders , fj etc - so great to see that Benz.

Naturally I love all the stuff coming out of this facility and with the Brocnos I'd love to own the Derelict Bronco - just wow, the best of all worlds with this one. Being a die hard Chevy guy I'm in crazy love with the 'Black Chrome' Thriftmaster. Is it weird to use the word delicious to describe this truck? So tasteful, smart looking, badass yet subtle it just looks delicious - sorry. Way to go guys your people and facility are awesome and if I had the dough there would be no yachts, multiple properties, and other frivolous items - just a modest collection of machines starring at least one from Icon. Okay, two.

  • @sadubone

Thanks for the tour. Always love to see what's going on in there. I love the Derelicts. Well I love everything you build. It would be an honor to have one of your vehicles. If money was no object I'd have you build me a 4x4 Thriftmaster with a diesel hybrid motor. for no other reason than doing the r&d to see what you could come up with and something that would last a while.

Thank you ! Always wanted to see your take on a W109 or bigger W116. Your attention to detail to make them more reliable and "modern" feel. The change from unibody is.. well... interesting.. you and the costumer went all the way ! The silver is classic and the wheels are just perfect. Hope it doesnt sit too low.. would lose some of its elegance... Again, thank you for the videos.

Have you all ever considered franchising and having sort of an off brand "icon lite" type shops that do more limited 50-250k transformations? Supply chain people who have worked in pre launch activities would have good supply chain familiarity as far as prototype capabilities, and if your cad work thus far was made available to franchisees then alot of the custom design parts could be just remade using prototype shops, and used again since the design work has already been done. Custom work done by franchisees could be vetted by the central office and then added to the network catalog if it was a sound design.
