Trust me, there is plenty of corruption here in Iceland. Moreover, there has been an increase of violent crimes, at least in Reykjavík. Last year, there multiple stabbings occurring almost on a weekly basis during the summer. That said, overall Iceland is a safe country. Just be cautious when you are downtown on the weekend evenings.

Iceland used to have McDonald's. It closed following the recession, reportedly the business model wasn't working. It's expensive to run a McDonald's restaurant and McDonald's wasn't THAT popular. I never had to wait in line in McDonald's in Iceland except maybe twice. I have had to do it every time I go to KFC.

I have been to Iceland twice and l can honestly say Iceland and her people all around, are great. Iceland is expensive, but what they don't tell you - lceland has no homelessness, they look after their people. This country is so peaceful, that police don't carry firearms. Iceland is definitely a country worth visiting. And when visiting the Black beach just be cautious

Imagine if you could drink the water everywhere in the world just out of a stream or river....

A lot of people think that Iceland is some perfect magical heaven with zero war, which is only partially true. Yes, Iceland is great. It has no war, no military, almost no crime and has a great community, but it does have its downsides. Like that everything in Iceland is actually much more expensive then normal products, since you need to ship literally EVERYTHING to Iceland using giant cargo ships (or I guess planes but ships are more common) And also: The main reason that there's little to no conflict in Iceland, is just the fact that the government is very strict on who can actually become an Icelandic citizen. If you're not born on Iceland, the chances of you becoming an Icelandic citizen are very low. Also, Iceland's closest neighbouring country (Greenland) is literally separated by 286km (180 miles) of ocean. So it's safe to say that, there's probably not that many illegal border crossings to Iceland. So long story short, Iceland is great, but please don't over exaggerate it that much. It still has its flaws, like all countries do. And can you guys stop commenting like: "If every country was like Iceland, this would be a perfect world" Because that's just not exactly how it works. Not every country can be in the middle of the ocean, and not every country can have such strict rules like Iceland.
