Why

Maybe it’s just that I’m only now learning the character, but I don’t get the doom and gloom over the Ice changes. It sucks that it’s no longer as good at chipping, or locks down for as long, but it’s still +13 on block and a combo on hit. If I do a Last Call DHC out and call an Order Up assist, it will still be about as useful for whoever’s on point. Worst case scenario, Black Dahlia becomes slow Valentine. Good projectiles, decent air options, but has worse defenses and damage and is confined to being a Point character. It would suck to have her go from versatile to rigid, but it would not kill the character

She loses on 2 of her best setups because of this change. Thats the big deal. Not neutral, setups dead. For neutral you have plenty of other options still so its whatever.

@@ReyMercuryFGCso anyway I think the ice shot resets are now back on the table looking at the new patch notes, and also that I was wrong as hell about the block advantage because it seems like half of the change is dedicated to increasing frame advantage on it

And we dont need that last 5LP to make them recover before the fire bullet reaches so it also costs 15 Undizzy less! Im still sad for the kara cancel reset being dead :( but oh well... ;v

You think this patch sucks? They have made Sekhmet completely useless in neutral thus eliminating the point of having hyper armor, they have completely beaten Umby, a CHILD, to a PULP, they are touching Marie for absolutely no reason, and they somehow managed to nerf Painwheel. These beta patches have managed to harm every character in my trio multiple times. Other than Valentine looking cool, I HATE this new direction for the meta. You would think the devs would wait for a sequel to squander the gameplay, but I guess not. Not yet, anyways.
