Ice in the Desert: How Ancient People Did It

Ойын-сауық

Back in the ancient days, cooling off in the desert wasn't as simple as cranking up the AC. People got creative and pulled off a cool trick with ice. They'd dig these deep pits, like desert ice chests, and stash the ice in layers of straw and sawdust to keep it from melting too fast. It was like nature's own refrigerator! These ancient cool cats knew how to use what they had, and they'd harvest the ice during the colder months to keep their chill vibes going in the scorching heat. So, forget about popsicles - ancient desert dwellers were the OG ice masters!

I've seen 153°F in Iraq...another base a friend was on that day told me he was at 162°F much hotter than recorded record. That was back in 2007.

Global climate change has increased the heat on the area. Science matters. Facts matter. The ozone layer is also still not recovered. Ancient peoples could be outside all day with less of a chance of burning. Ancient Romans affected our climate, but not as much as modern humans have destroyed things. Ancient Romans cut down tons of trees in Europe. They shipped the wood all over. Ancient Israel was the land of milk and honey. It had trees and fresh water springs. Cutting down their trees turned it more into the land of sand. Modern Israel is the only nation to have successfully pushed back sand with planting new trees, water shipping, etc.

Ok i love your videos but this guys voice is off putting somehow. It lacks the friendly welcoming quality of the usual narrators. Nothing personal but I actually did not enjoy the video as much as I would have with the normal people.
