A great what? You've got to sift through a lot of trash to find something great in his work. He made his fame and fortune keeping people in bondage, just like every slavemaster. People being set free wouldnt have been good for business. in my opinion He didnt report what was going on, he supported it, imported it, exported it, and exploited it. What did Ice Cube inspire into millions of people? How did that inspiration affect millions of other people that interacted with those who were inspired by Ice Cube? how many fatherless children were conceived while the fathers were inspired by his work? how many women used and abused while inspired by his work? How many people were victims of violence inspired by his work? how many people went to jail and prison inspired by his work? we give him credit for middle of the fence work like ""are we there yet" "friday", but none of it is great, He is no MLK JR. Well maybe the word great is not really connected to the word Good. Hitler was great i suppose! i was going to say that "we're all in the same gang" was the extent of great, but i just looked it up and i guess ice cube wasnt even a part of that. i remember being 14 years old and memorizing the lyrics of too short and ice cube work, there was nothing great about it. So a great what, he had the talent to be great, but great wouldnt have got him the fortune and fame. Who knows maybe Ice Cube's work was born from a pure heart, or maybe he was just another sell out, his work speaks loudly, but only God can judge the person. what is the legacy that artists like Ice Cube, snoop, dre, eazy-e, eminem and the like give us through their work, what does their work inspire? Great, that's a laugh! Lecrae, his work is great. Bryann Trejo, his work is great! The ones who pick up the pieces from the brokenness that results from artists like Ice Cube's work, their work is great! but the $ walks with the BS talk, that is for sure!

They didnt inspire people to build anything good,, anyway freedom of speech right?, used just the way it was intended to be used right? Is there really any argument about whether or not these people earned their fortunes, Its like if slavetraders went and coaxed people from some other continent to sell themselves , trade themselves, or even captured some put them on ships and delivered those people into slavery and bondages, would you say that those slavetraders earned their fortunes? It is very likely that the works of the aforementioned artists delivered many people over to very cruel masters, oh but stay in school, see they arent so bad right? It is to their credits as they mature and realize the responsibiltiy and influence they may have that they try to be a more positive influence on people, but they dont make their fortunes that way, oh let me found a community center in the hood , but my mansion i have for just me and maybe my wife/gf is twice as big as what i gave for the whole community to share, If i could have i probably would have done it too, for the $, but i would certainly know i what i did was not great, even if there were still millions of fools praising me for it.
