@@jeremygladish A laker in that class will take a long time to get there. However, a gill in the 11.5"+ class is a damn miracle due to predation and being constantly pressured. Not many reach this size in MN.

There are a few lakes "up north" that you can get into alot of 11-12" blue gills... its crazy! And it's the reason why they have a limit of 5 on those lakes 😉 regardless, great catch!

Gill of anyone's dreams. Have you tried spikes when the crappie get super finicky. Got on some big gills and crappie over New Year's, wouldn't touch waxies or minnows for anything, but slurped up spikes like crazy.

Congratulations Murray. That thing is what we’d call a sow.

I fished a 24 hour tournament this weekend, and a 9" bluegill won me an aqua-view!
