You can write whatever you think you made need during the test as long as there are no answers to the questions in your book.

I am having a hard time remembering all the guidelines, I just started the class, please tell me it gets easier!?!?!?

Just keep at it! When you read the guidelines, you are putting breadcrumbs in your mind as to where to find it. You don't need to know everything, you just need to know where to find it.
