Founded in 2012, the Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities (Iran Academia University) emerged in response to infringements on the right to education, academic freedom, and autonomy of universities in the realm of social sciences in Iran. Based in the Netherlands, our institution leverages a vast global network of faculty and staff. We aim to foster critical thinking and empower Persian-speaking and multilingual youth by providing access to uncensored, high-quality knowledge.
We are proud to present the International Conference on Contemporary Iranian Studies (ICCI), an initiative of the Iran Academia. Since its inception in 2018, the ICCI has been a platform for dialogue and discovery. The third ICCI will take place at Goethe University in Frankfurt on August 22 and 23, 2024, and will feature live interpretations in both Persian and English.
