Best duo in international cricket - all time. Beats Indian duos like Kohli-Rohit, Sachin-Sehwag/Ganguly/Dravid, Dravid-Laxman, Langer-Ponting et al. Perhaps Hayden-Langer or Haynes-Greenidge were better but marginally if at all.

i genunely didnt know this cricketer at all but when they talk about him in ipl as a batsman and as a current coach for mumbai indians i decided to take watch some of the old highlights of srilanka team at the mid 2007 to late 2012 by searching in youtube i went through so many highlights and i saw the miracke batting of this man and that is ultimate and extrodinary he is also a G.O.A.T for srilanka

My first memory of him is from 1999 when he clobbered 242 against us in the Asian test championship. He came in I believe at #3 and was the last man to be out. I remember being angry because he just didn't get tired, kept kissing his bat and continued wonderful strokeplay. There just seemed no flaw to his game. My anger would slowly transform to respect over the years. Well done Mahela. You deserve it. And I was proud to see you finally win the World title in 2014, even though again, it was against India. SL's second best captain ever 💙
