iCarSoft Electronic Throttle Control Reset

Quick video that you may not know you can do with iCarSoft, how to use it to reset the ETC 'Electronic Throttle Control'. Mercedes have an adaptive learning system, that over time will 'tailor' to your diving style. Every now and then its good to reset this, especially if you have just bought the car so it behaves to your preference.

Thanks for another great video, ive had my pro unit for just over a year and am still learning. Ive got : Landrover Freelander 1 (BMW based)TD4 , Toyota Yaris 1.3 petrol and Renault Master 100DCI van so a few to look after and I must say im impressed with the results I get when using this tool, its so far been able to help me out on few running issues Maf sensors engine lights and ABS issues. Your vids help in learning more from this unit Thank you.👍

I have the V3 Jag/Landrover model, wondering would the ETC allow me to install a new throttle body as it needs to be calibrated to car? Great video 😁

You motivated me to go get the icarsoft MB3. 0 but to my surprise all functions under the SERVICE menu always say "No support foe this car".. The diagnostic menu cans all the available Modules on my car but when you try to actuate.. The same eeror pops up.."NOT SUPPORTED ON THIS CAR".. I am testing this on W203. 046 (2004 C180 Kompressor)... I icarsoft support is mum on this issue including the company I bought the unit from.. Upgrade version 33.80 seems to be a problem..

Thats strange, I know for example on the Battery Condition on the service menu, I tried to activate this on my Mercedes and it wouldn't, however I then discovered that my Mercedes did not have this option anyway, unlike say BMW. When you run the diagnostics, do you use Auto Scan mode? This should select only the items that you can activate.

@@GrooveOn good to hear from you. This happened soon after upgrading the unit to v. 33.80 from the icarsoft. Yes, Auto Scan does pickup all available Modules but ECM.. I have escalated the issue to icarsoft but haven't heard from them since

If it's only for Jag, land rover then unfortunately yes
Some, if not all, Mercedes won’t start after an accident. Can the iCarsoft tool enable it to start? I see that some of the more expensive diagnostic tools like Autel, allows you to do this.

If there is crash data say for the airbag, no icarsoft unfortunately won't clear this.

@@GrooveOn There would be crash data as the car was in an accident and the driver’s airbags did deploy. Assuming no other issues exist, would the iCarsoft CR Max enable engine start? I’ve seen a few comparison videos saying the CR Max is on the same level as the Autel Maxicom MK808, and that system would enable engine start after a crash, but it’s obviously a tad more expensive.
