So beautiful and sad, you transpire all the pain, suffering and misery wars cause, it's like a hymn to all the fallen children, to dreams destroyed, to war ravaged broken people. Your voice, the way you play the trumpet, is a mirror to your soul reflecting our own souls, to a feeeling of loss and then at the later stages of Beirut of anger, an explosion of rage and defiance at all the injustices. Beirut is Aleppo, is Gaza, is Mariupol, is every place torn by senseless wars. You're extraordinary Ibrahim Maalouf , bravo.

im playing guitar. always wanted to start to play tumpet. but i couldnt find the courage. its a very difficult instrument. it needs lots of blood, swaet and tears. how is it going for you so far?

@@sungerbob1786 it has been one year since I started and it felt so natural to me from day one.. For sure I have my ups and downs because it's a very difficult instrument but everyday I feel better than yesterday .. Wish I had started when I was younger.. But even now, I enjoy every second..

What you are implying is: first of all crazy, because not every disaster is due to "that" reason... and second: it is against the idea of the commenter. How will you ever achieve peace if you blame someone else for everything bad? Let me guess, car crash in Columbia is also because of "shalom"? Dog gets cancer and needs to be put to sleep in New Zealand, that's also because of "shalom"?

Shalom, may God's mercy and blessings be upon him.... Shalom, how did they arrive in Lebanon...the two are not walking together...and the Prophet Sibu Lebanon is in the same condition, and Shalom is enough for this.

J'ai acheté ton album à tes débuts et je t'avais vu en concert dans le quartier de pigalle il y a 10 ans peut-être plus avec ton groupe. Je voulais écouter ce morceau en live. Et depuis ma femme m'accompagne à tes orchestres symphoniques. Je suis content de retourner te voir dans une petite salle. Un morceau dont je ne me lasse jamais. Je le joue au sax avec mes compétences, quand je promène mon chien, quand je suis fatigué, je l'écoute tout le temps . On sera là samedi à 19h. Dernières places. Corbeille. Merci 🙏

Je repense à ce magnifique concert à Marciac le 31/07, émotions, Jacob Devarieux nous quittait et son ami bassiste était là, Thierry Fanfan, sans oublier les artiste cubains, c'était très émouvant. J'ai découvert cet humble artiste, Ibrahim, riche d'humanité et d'amour, de compassion. Je ne connaissais pas la trompette mélodieuse, ni son histoire. Merci pour cette belle découverte, de si près. Mais quelle Ambiance.

Esa trompeta tiene un sonido muy singular, inigualable. Produce paz y fraternidad

I like the changes from its "old" Original (where I loved street-scenes lonesome fisherman at the water's edge, fruit-vendores, though couldn't take to the car-landing in Paris at a noisy discordant party all floating on Ibrahim's warm and passionate score. In this version the "New Original" segment in Paris is no longer where it ends with its pleading on trumpet but Beirut. Beirut is a State of Mind you never can leave. Fine rendition more impassioned with authenticity. Best wishes.
