The Najdiyan Theology and Taiymian Theology are two different things. We should not equate the theology of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab Najdi and Shaykh Ibn Taymia (رحمہ اللہ) The former was a Takfeeri and a Murderer whereas the later was a Great Scholar of Islam.

Spoken by a layperson without any knowledge. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyya says in Majmu al-Fatawa 27/44: “As for the one who comes to the grave of a Prophet or righteous person or a grave that is believed to hold a Prophet or righteous person, then asks the (person in grave) to remove his/her sickness or the sickness of his riding beast, or asks him to fulfill a need, or take revenge from his enemies or to relieve his debt and things like this; that none other than Allah the Mighty and Majestic has ability to fulfill; then such a person should be given a chance to repent and if they do not repent, they should be killed. As this is CLEAR SHIRK, and if such a person says, I only ask him (the one in grave) due to the fact that he is closer to Allah than me, so that he may intercede for me in these matters, as I use him as a means to get to Allah just as one seeks nearness to a King through his close aiders and comrades; THEN THIS IS FROM THE ACTIONS OF THE MUSHRIKEEN AND CHRISTIANS, for indeed they claim they take their Rabbis and Monks as intercessors, seeking intercession with them in their requests (to Allah).”

1:50 is very strong and important! Because it seems the people who call themselves the followers of ibn taymiyyah today(among the salafiyyah wa wahabiyyah) spend more time making takfir of people then studying the Deen... I once joined one of their schools for a class and they have an entire semester class dedicated just on making takfir... Which I think is problematic and this is why we have so many low educated brothers and sister mainly in the west(especially Europe) running around making takfir of everyone... I think a better class for them would be learning the dangers of making takfir and its repercussions!!

The scholars of the salaf made aCLEAR distinction between general takfir and calling someone specifically a disbeliever. For example , a Muslim that worships a grave is a mushrik. This is general. In order for it to be done specifically the proofs need to be made clear and ignorance removed . This is the methodology of the salaf including Muhammad Abdul-Wahab.

Imam ibn taimiyyah doesn't needs any body praise he is bound to be praised by his scholarly consensus.

We can see the fruits of Ibn Taymiyya in saudie arabia, like it or not, they build their beliefsystem on his works. When 'ulema made those statements about him, that he was dhal and mudhil, is not about his views on mantiq and christianity, but on his views of Allah ta'la and some sahaba. We must not comprimise the truth for building bridges.

How wretched is what they have been practicing.} [Quran 5:62-63] · {They used not to prevent one another from the wrongdoing that they did. How wretched was that which they were doing.} [Quran 5:79] The Prophet (PBUH) said: . “Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; and if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then with his heart [by feeling that it is wrong] - and that is the weakest of faith.” (Muslim, 49) A nobody who sees that the only people who really care about preserving Allah's religion are those mainly attacked by disbelievers and Muslims. A nobody who sees these so-called Shaykh lying about the deen and being corrected by those who truly care about preserving the deen of Allah. A nobody who sees that disbelievers use all means to discredit muslims who stick to the teaching of Al Islam, such as using CIA agents and mercenaries to carry out terrorist attacks. A nobody who sees that those who really care about the deen are those who fight against the worst evils, i.e. magicians, jinns (devils) and munafiqun. A nobody who actually studies how Sufism spread in Muslim lands during the Ottoman Caliphate when it was minimal before. A nobody who actually studies how Qadianism and other sects were promoted by the British when they ruled over Muslim lands.

This has a lot of misinformation! Ibn Tamiyyah was a scholar recognized by all of the madhahib. Those that made takfir of him are the ashaa'irah because they interpret the siffat of Allah. I find it very interesting that Ibn Tamiyyad said the same thing Imaam Malik rahimu Allah said pertaining to Allah's sifaat .Hence, ibn tamiyah came with nothing new.

@@Alf_Nawaz well we can start with the hanafeh madhab like ibn Abdul-Iz and imam ibn kathir from the shaafaee madhab for starters. He was jailed because he opposed the innovations of the people that went astray in regards to Allah's names and attributes.ie the mutazilah
