Ibis Spring is a pretty little twin spring on Holmes Creek near Vernon in Washington County, Florida. It is on the state-designated Holmes Creek Paddling Trail.

Is Troy Springs on the agenda? The hull of the Confederate privateer Madison is at rest there. Her captain's father was originally from New Albany, Indiana and was in charge of the "Spray" when she was delivered to Daniel Ladd at St. Mark's.

Yes, we have already shot there and will edit it this summer. The Madison wasn't a privateer, by the way, she was just a commercial paddlewheel boat that operated on the Suwannee.

@@TwoEggTV I realize she wasn't used as a privateer with a letter of marquee but as I understand she was used by Confederate forces as a makeshift gunboat til about 1863. Or do I have her confused with another vessel?

@@clinthathcock6078 That was a 20th century made-up story about her that made the rounds for a number of years. In reality, she was just used to bring cotton, etc., downriver for the blockade runners and then to tow them down to the mouth of the river. She was never armed or used on the open Gulf.
