Ibapah Peak: 5229ft of Frustration, Pain, and Prominence

Ibapah peak is not a well known peak. It sits in an isolated mountain range called the Deep Creeks on the Utah, Nevada border. Blake has mentioned it from time to time so we decided to roll the dice and head out to ski this remote mountain top. It was a gamble and unfortunately for blake, It was a losing bet. Sometimes during the day it felt like everything but the weather was conspiring against us and a peak that should have taken only a handful of hours, ends up exhausting all our daylight. However, after much frustration and cursing we eventually summited Ibapah, Utah’s 8th most prominent peak. Now excuse me while I go and buy a new pair of skis.
