    Fun Fact.. That Artstar semi bodystyle is one of PRS's inspirations in his early days. The tri tone is what he was after with his rotary switch, and it took a long time but Paul's guitar with "dual" tone almost completely copies the layout.

    ive always loved the AR series and never quite understood why almost no one talks about this guitar. Its as versatile as it gets (specially the 420 with the 2 volumes 2 tone configuration) the build quality is through the roof and it wont break pretty much anybodys bank. Yet almost no one seems to care much about it. Ive tryed one and feel in love with it immediately. It feels great, plays like a dream and the sound of those Super 58 pickups are unbelievable regardless of the position of the great.working Tri-Sound Switch....i adore this guitar

    I’ve been waiting for 4 months for this to be built. It’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow and I’m freaking stoked to get it. I’ve got a Epiphone Les Paul standard, a Squier Strat and a Epiphone SG. And they all rip it up. But the Ibanez is a semi- hollow is going to have a new tonal structure for me to explore. Rock on. 👍👍👁❤️🎸☘️☘️😊

    Good info video, BTW, the AR250 is neither an Artstar or an Artcore series. Artstar & Artcore refer to the hollow and semi-hollow body lines. While the AR250H is a semi-hollow body it's still part of the AR line. { FYI, the main differences between Artstar & Artcore, besides price, is that Artcores are made in China & Artstars are made in Korea and considered to be of higher quality. }

    Ibanez guitars are great bang for the buck, and I wish these were around when I was just starting out, and options were limited. They should have highlighted some of the nice touches they put into these guitars, like the all Abalone, the rubberized tone and volume knobs, and the easy access to the truss rods with that little door you can open and close.

    Series reduces highs but boots the level overall whereas parallel maintains more highs but results in a drop in overall output; both are hum-cancelling; and also relatively phase-cancelling (to a variable degree, based on distance), if I'm not mistaken.

    I bought the ARTIST (not Artstar as the Captain stated) 520 In Flame Maple flavor… and I LOVE IT! I’ve owned many vintage Ibanez axes over the yrs, including a Prestige AR305 that was truly amazing, so this take comes from experience! These newer Chinese built variants are very nice! They’re not as well built as the OG Japanese built models of the late 70s-early 80s… especially compared to my Prestige which is one of the finest instruments I’ve EVER Laid my hands on…but still very nice, especially considering that they are Chinese built! Ibanez clearly instructed the builders to do a great job, bc attention to detail on mine is virtually flawless! for anti wondering… they’re really nice! The neck is much slimmer than the orig AR neck… but I dig it…it’s not too thin…just thin enough to make it easy to play! To wrap it up I’ll just say this: She plays wonderfully, is a looker, and for me at least… a Keeper!

    Hey guys just wanted to let you know the AR 420,550,600,700 are the reissues of the famed guitars of the 70s known as the les Paul killers. MIJ they were better made than the Gibsons of the 70s. Ibanez issued 3 original designs then the AR with the tritone switching, the musician, and the studio. They were the first to do neck thru, multi piece necks, hotter pups. BTW Lee Okoume wood has been harvested for decades for use in the production of plywood. It has never been used in the production of musical instruments. Please bring in their lp style the ART 500,600,700fm..The higher the number the more ornate such as vine inlays on the neck

    Would love for Ibanez to make me a lefty AF95. Gonna have to settle for the AF55 :/

    Lovely stringed pieces of wood those are! Isn't Linden wood called basswood in English? Or don't the people of Ibanez want us to know that they use basswood for their bodies? Nothing wrong with the wood, soundwise or looks wise, just that it keeps the cost down and dings a bit easier

    Is the smaller guitar hollow on the wings or just on the f hole area?
