Javed Ahmed Ghadimi belongs to Lahori Group becareful with him.

Javed Ghamidi only offers an explanation of the traditional view that "ibadaat" or the so called "five pillars of Islam" are necessary (fard) but fails to cite any Qur'anic authority for such a view. His interpretation of salah as "namaz" or 5 daily prayers is very questionable as nowhere does the Qur'an detail such a ritual. Nor does the Qur'an instruct people to do meaningless rituals of worship for God is above any needs. Ghamidi is only perpetuating the traditional view plus his own explanations based on extra- Quranic literature called hadith, or sunnah or shariah or whatever name he wants to give to the views of past people. They all attribute their ideas to the Prophet who's not here to verify or deny anything they ascribe to him. Why is the Qur'an not enough for guidance for such people? Why complicate religion with cultural and sectarian interests?
