The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme primarily aimed at 16-to-19-year-olds in 140 countries around the world. The programme provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities worldwide. It was developed in the early-to-mid-1960s in Geneva, Switzerland, by a group of international educators. After a six-year pilot programme that ended in 1975, a bilingual diploma was established.
Administered by the International Baccalaureate (IB), the IBDP is taught in schools in over 140 countries, in one of three languages: English, French, or Spanish. In order to offer the IB diploma, schools must be certified as an IB school. IBDP students complete assessments in six subjects, traditionally one from each of the 6 subject groups (although students may choose to forgo a group 6 subject such as Art or music, instead choosing an additional subject from one of the other groups). In addition, they must fulfill the three core requirements, namely CAS, TOK and the Extended Essay. Students are evaluated using both internal and external assessments, and courses finish with an externally assessed series of examinations, usually consisting of two or three timed written tests. Internal assessment varies by subject: there may be oral presentations, practical work, or written work. In most cases, these are initially graded by the classroom teacher, whose grades are then verified or modified, as necessary, by an appointed external moderator.
Generally, the IBDP has been well-received. It has been commended for introducing interdisciplinary thinking to students. In the United Kingdom, The Guardian newspaper claims that the IBDP is "more academically challenging and broader than three or four A-levels".[1]

@@xavbabs What else? IB subjects in our school, which we're more limited compared to other countries (I am from Peru). This ranking was based on 3 variables, the Quality of the teachers, how likely was the subject yo severely affect mental health, and its usefulness in the future. I won't forget arguing with a partner werther ESS was useless or free points, on how we nicknamed a disabeled teacher as "The Happy Wheels" xd In the end, biology and bussines ended up first, with Physics being the subject that won as the one more detrimental yo mental health

okay i took a little bit offence when you said BM is for losers, but if u did not meant to be rude then okay fine. BM is like a good subject if you don't want to pursue sciences, you get to know real life case studies which is so important to know. As a HL in BM, i think if you don't want have a specific profession that people want to go in, i feel like if people take business, people would be involving yourself in the real world but again it depends on who wants to go for it

If you have not possibly decided yet, I have no experience with psychology but i can say this much, go for what you want. I am taking this doubt as a case where you want to fill up a space with something easier. in my opinion, BM is easier than psychology as it involves with case studies. For psychology, you need good amount of focus to learn. Sure even BM needs, but i crammed up an entire unit as HL in 2-3 days before the exam (not recommendable), also the exams are like not that hard

@@umariktokyo welcome.also if ur just starting ur dp journey, you will get some time to decide, in that time, u can ask ur seniors, ask the teachers of how the paper looks like (some are most likely to show you a past paper), that way you will get the idea what you want to do
