Manchester City wanted Jorghino. Where did he end up at? I can go on and on. These players whom City wanted you want to tell me they were cheaper than City players? Somebody like Bernardo Silva was in the same Monaco team with Fabhino, Bakayako and Mbappe. Go look at the money City paid for Bernardo Silva if it was far more than Chelsea paid for Bakayako or Liverpool paid for Fabhino. The thing is that you buy a player who fits your game plan. Look at Arsenal bought Trossard because they couldn't get Mudryk and the outcome is day and night. I think people are misunderstanding pep a bit. He means that even if he does stay, it won't be for a further 8 years. It will be less than that. That doesn't mean he is unlikely to renew

There’s no way this Arsenal team isn’t picking up silverware over the next three seasons, including the Premier League. City are a juggernaut but this is a team that has what it takes to keep pushing them every season. The squad’s almost there and if they can bring in 1-2 quality signings - a backup for Saka, an additional LB, and probably an outright striker - they’re definitely keeping up a fight every season. Great season, dragged it to the last day, and there’s so much to look forward to. COYG and congrats to City, what an incredible benchmark to meet.

He didnt use Nunes yet, Sergio Gomez is also one of those full of potential guy as well as Oscar Bobb and Rico Lewis, Gvardiol only got confortable in the last games of the games meaning he could be off to something special next season. Alvarez played a big role but you can tell he is not even half his potential... All of that and you put the experience of KDB, Rodri, Kyle Walker, Kova, Akanji, Ake, Stones, Jack Grealish etc

Excellent point about changing patterns of the game and the ability of Pep to respond appropriately. That's where Wenger missed it.

Missed it by 2!!! And in a season where you're biggest opponent who also won the season didn't beat you - bananas!!!

City got the best squad and manager on the paper so their goal for the season must have been to win the league at the start of the season which they duly achieved. With FFP now active- the field is levelled. Now the PL starts again.The Arsenal- Aston Villa's etc will have a fair chance of winning something.

Liverpool had done a lot of damage while Manchester City were in Anfield. Had Arsenal been more result oriented at Etihad they could have dented City’s confidence and could have ended up winning the league.

If Arsenal had beaten villa they would have won the league. Theres nothing city could have done to change that.

This is not a dig at Arsenal, but I'm not entirely sure that a teams that finish second two seasons in a row has a god given right to eventually win the league. Whats most likely to happen is that teams that go through that 'peak' without getting to first place end up eventually regressing to a top four pack of teams or thereabouts. This is just about a weird consensus among pundits that i dont necessarily agree with

Why would you go hard at City when they haven't lost at their home ground. Also it's quite hard to go hard at someone who keeps moving the ball around(tikitaka) like they are in practice.
