I truly enjoyed this interview of writer Ian Rankin. I'm not familiar with his work, because I'm also not familiar about him. I guess I have arrived too late to the party for this character's 24th book. Hopefully, I can start checking out his work. I'm probably the only one in the world that's not familiar about John Rebus. Thanks Tom.

I feel he is one of the best crime fiction writers going, his Rebus books are page turners.I rank him up there with Johnathan Kellerman-the Scottish version if you will.

As a fan of Rebus I have read all the books and listened to the radio plays and in my opinion there is absolutely no better crime writer than Ian Rankin. This latest book is excellent of course however the plot device of Rebus willingly assisting the criminal McCafferty locate a missing person seemed rather weak. Rebus is totally aware of the devious and dangerous motives of McCafferty and it seemed implausible for Rebus to get involved as he had nothing to gain from doing so.
