Ian 'Pepe' Goodison Six-a-Side Football

Marl Road were, on May 5, 2018, crowned Champions of the Ian ‘Pepe’ Good is on Six-a-side football competition.
The one-day event held at the Cling Cling Oval in Olympics Gardens saw more than 20 teams from within the west central St Andrew community vying for over $170,000 in prize money.
At the end of the day's activities which climaxed at approximately 8:00 pm, Marl Road walked away with the top purse money of $80,000 following a nail-biting 5-4 win on penalties over Top Blank.
After beating all before them in this knockout competition, the two unbeaten teams played to an exciting 0-0 scoreline at the end of regulation time. However, in the shootout Marl Road prevailed, with Too Blank receiving $50,000 as runners-up.
Moscow blanked Olympic Under-17 2-0 to secure third place, while Marl Road’s Andre Bygrave pocketed $10,000 for topping the goal-scorers chart with eight goals.
In netball, Tower Hill outscored Olympic Gardens 38-20 to secure the $20,000 main prize on offer. Tower Hill received $10,000.
Former Reggae Boy Ian Goodison, who is from the community, says the event was a success and commended sponsors Caricel and the Institute of Sports.
Several community members had high praises for Goodison’s initiative.
