OMG THAT IS EPIC!! I wish I could've seen all of them live, I wonder if any of them are still going on tour?
Joe Elliot is one of the best frontmen of my generation...and he looks TERRIFIED to be on stage with his heroes...you rocked it Joe!!!

I saw Ian Hunter with Mick Ronson playing at a club in Toronto. Def Leopard were playing the stadium and Joe and Phil popped by the club after their gig to join in and jam on the encore. Two songs in and the power blew ending the show.

Some of the best live shows I ever saw, The Bottom Line club in NYC, somewhere around 75-76-77. During these days of deadly disease, youtube is about all we have for "live music", man was I glad I found this vid.
Just seen Ian Hunter & The Rant Band play this last night in Carlisle and they were superb. The guy is now 78 years old and still rocks like a bastard!!!!!!!!!

Ian is one of my favorites. I’ve seen him at least 20 times. Always great in a a big or small venue. You never know who might show up.
Epic performance of a classic Mott the Hoople song.
Well, well, well, what can I say. Always been a great fan of Mott & Ian Hunter in particular. Fantastic footage & a reminder how great Mott were & Hunter still is. Great.

Brian May's single note just before the intro fills the room with magic.
I was front row at this 🙂
Love these guys. I was lucky as Hell to grow up during the years when Rock Music becme the finest music in the world. And it's stood the test of time as I can turn on the car radio tomorrow morning and hear these songs playing on my way to work.
Saw mott and queen play at the old lido long time ago in the isle of man when they could get great bands over queen had seven seas of rye just out and both bands where absolutely brilliant.

Sang the correct words too... Marvellous
Old records never die. They just get better. How many songs has Hunter written ? He is a genius.

No man way!!! Omg ty sweet jesus, I've seen both ian& Brian in hayday..but fckn Joe, omgomgomg!!! Ex wife held me back from alot of 80s but what talent on 1 stage, bringing back so many memories, freddie rests in peace, love is key, those who spread it musically god knows and a very special place in his heart holds!!!
Brian killing it!
Was at the Astoria for this. So disappointed that the venue has had to be knocked down to make way for a grander 21st century Tottenham Court Road station. Lots of atmosphere at a venue with seats in the circle and standing only down in the stalls. Loved the Astoria.

I was there too, and I met Ian and Brian afterwards. What a night! The Astoria was the best, saw great concerts there - and at the Mean Fiddler next to it.
Effing PHENOMENAL!!!!
I guess Queen was probably a great opening group! I saw them in Memphis in Early 70’s and Joe Walsh’s Barnstorm was the opening group. It was awesome!
No band ever deserved the title cult / legendary / than this lot . people still talk about them today {2021} .No one like them anybody who knows anything about music loves them . Long Live Mott the Hoople ........Im a dude dad !!!!
