Cherished by his admirers as an irreverent comic genius, Spike Milligan became a star in the 1950s as a main writer and performer in the ground-breaking radio comedy series The Goon Show.
Some of the battles that he faced in his personal and professional life at that time are portrayed in the new play 'Spike'.
Written by the broadcaster and Private Eye editor Ian Hislop and the satirical cartoonist Nick Newman, it will be at Glasgow's King's Theatre in the first week of November.
