Ian Duckett: Why I NEVER Train More Than 3 Days Per Week!
Ian Duckett returns to discuss why he hasn't wavered from a 3 day per week training schedule (at most), early morning workouts, 80 hour work weeks, over-training and implementing bodybuilding training for a complete life. Enjoy!
This video is taken from episode 129 of the Longevity Muscle Podcast with Ian Duckett. Ian is the founder of bodyindesign, author of OLD BUT STRONG, is a personal trainer, and professional natural bodybuilder!

Thanks for sharing and glad you are loving the channel 💪
I keep it to full body 3x per week with a pretty low volume plan of only 15 total sets per workout. It gets me out of the gym in 45 min. It's two sets for push, two sets for pull, two sets for quad, two sets for the posterior chain, one set to failure for biceps/triceps/side delt/rear delt, and then three sets of heavy sled pushing.
Straight facts , 100% natural here ..I train high intensity low- moderate volume , 3-4 days max in the gym. Biggest I ever got was training 3 days a week , I’ll do 4 days if I’m feeling recovered, 2 on 1 off, 2 on 2 off repeat. 246lbs @ 6’0 with abs (not shredded tho) and bigger / stronger then anyone in the gym at any given time including gear heads. Last contest I weighed in at 206lbs peeled. Been training 17 years straight. When I did high volume 6 days a week it was the worse progress. Find what works for you.

Mike is heavy on roids… any of his opinion makes no sense for a natural bodybuilder.. natural bodybuilders need much more rest and specific amount of sets per body part.. perhaps 6-8 intense sets/WEEK.
