Aloha from Hawaii! 🌸 love watching your reactions to our local boy, Iam! Much mahalo for supporting him, he sings happy songs, too. Check out Cool Down by a local Hawaiian group, Kolohe Kai. It’s amazing and once again, Iam is in his ELEMENT! So much fun to watch, hope you enjoy it!

I have a theory about what happened. I honestly believe even though it was nice for Mr Blunt to come sing with Iam, it was very unfair for the show to do this to Iam. You could see from Lukes face straight away, "shoot what have we done to him" Katy balling her eyes out just feels like they knew they messed up. Here are my thoughts. Showing Iams dad and his original audition before they sung was already building the tension and the emotions already, I dont believe Iam and James properly rehearsed, Iam has had a big week in Hawaii and to prepare four songs for this kid was a hard ask, The show knew exactly what was going to happen (there was a high chance that Iam was going to win).... but they still chose to do everything to BREAK (not intentionally) this kid, and this is the moment IDOL broke IAM for their VIEWS and to me that was unfair. Compare to the other songs, IAM was in his element, I believe there was no need to do this. But it happened and it was simply beautiful for James to encourage abd comfort Iam. It would have been intimidating for Iam to sing next to him, I also notice that Iam had come in early with the lyrics, I reckon he messed up hence amother reason he choked so they ended up singing different parts of the song that they were suppose to sing. Thank you James for being there for Iam.

Iam ask for the opportunity to sing with James Blunt. Monsters got Iam to his American Idol title. James Blunt deserves 100% respect for comforting Iam and getting him through the song. Iam had this won weeks prior to the finally we all knew the contestants knew it just had to wait to finally night. If he puts out records sells out venues and keeps America behind him then he can be successful like Kelly, and Carrie.

James Blount was so compassionate to help Iam through this. He understands because he wrote this for his Dad who was dying. This is a performance that will be remembered. Iam is still grieving his Dad.
