Iain Smith explains Shimano's Super Slow Oscillation | UK

Спорт

Slower oscillation reduces the speed the line travels up and
down the spool on the cast. This results in less friction as
line leaves the spool, which improves casting distance and
accuracy. When it comes to slow... nobody does it like Shimano.
SHIMANO STANDARD OSCILLATION outperforms the industry standard. SHIMANO SLOW OSCILLATION exceeds almost anything else ever seen. SHIMANO SUPER SLOW 5 OSCILLATION takes things to a new level. SHIMANO SUPER SLOW 10 OSCILLATION is perfection!

What would be the best line for really looong casting. I’m using spider wire on my smaller reels (2000,2500,5000) and I’m casting pretty long with it, but with this reel it’s a brand new ballgame

Hi why don't top end reels bait arms automatically click back over when they've been cocked for casting ? Thanks

Why don’t you guys make those super long cast spinning reels in the smaller sizes, such as the 4000 and 5000 sizes?

I have the Ultegra CI4+ 5500 XSC On the Shimano website they said it has the Slow 5 technology but went i tried to count the line lay, its only 36 rounds per oscillation.

    because it's a 5500? I think 14000 has 50.

Why is this new reel so heavy 510 gr for a Magnesium reel of course there is a larger spool but then not save on weight by using cheaper material this is a missed opportunity For comparison, a Daiwa Basiair that has been on the market for years and is also a top model reel weighs only 420 grams The weight of the reel is also important for casting long distances

Can someone at Shimano tell me if the Ultegra Ci4+ XTC 5500 has super slow 5 oscillation or just slow oscillation? No one can answer this and I cant find it on their website.

It has slow os bud, they don`t answer because they don`t know it.they don`t know the diference between Ci4 and ci4+ but they ask for more money on the reels made with ci4+, and so on.For any info check the shimano site direct, not their consultants. They will say that shimano carp rods are made in Japan, and then on the label when buy them says Malaysia

@@terrifying7847 not sure fella ? But i used Daiwa reels for years (tournament Entho's) but i went over to ultegra's as they just feel better built , as Daiwa's always end up making squeaking and grinding noises especially in the roller bearing ! Tho tech mags , Basia's are nice , id never pay that kind of money for a set of reels , especially the abuse i give them lol !
