Kersthas, I have been dealing with the I30 error in America for several years. The first time I let just cleared the water, double-checked the float and put it back, and like you, it worked for several months, then again the water. The second time I searched the internet and bought the upgrade switch and kit, fixed again for 6 months, then again the water. I took out the switch and made sure it was clean, it was. I reassembled and then found your video. Your fix is genius, never would have found this error. I hand tightened, mine was very loose, then got a hammer and wood to turn tight the grey plastic nut, genius. You saved me $354 (US) dollar service call. Much appreciated thank you. Thanks Again PS everyone should clean trap at least once a month, can get caked with grease residual, depending on use, maybe every two weeks.

Thank you! I had the same error i30 at my 3 years old AEG dishwasher. In the morning I called the AEG service (Romania) for assistance, they "opened a ticket" to a AEG workshop, and "Thay would call me in a few days"... I was getting into depression, thinking at the dishes to be cleaned! The ring did not seem to be loose, but getting out the water from the tray solved the problem! It took me 30 minutes and the aid of a Philips screwdriver to resolve the error. 0€ I started a short program without dishes, watched the under tray, there are no more leaks and now I filled the dishwasher again, the dishes are ready and no water in the tray! 🤗

My mom fixed our dishwasher by watching your awesome video!! Thanks so much 👏🏻

You are a genius and a gentleman thankyou for sharing. That screw was not fully tight now tighter and hopefully will fix the annoying problem. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SWITCH OFF THE POWER if you open the panel to remove the water as you will get s shock. I used a simple dish sponge to remove the water. Thankyou once again and best wishes!!! UPDATE: that fix you suggested did not work for me. The water was collecting on the right hand side of the tray. It turns out that these dishwashers with the robotic bottom tray that lifts up can also be an issue. Each side of the arm is pivoted with a bolt and on mine one side was not tightened correctly at the factory. To fix it is a bit more effort. Pull out the dishwasher- you do not need to remove the plumbing. Remove the side panel of the dishwasher and lift up the sound insulation. If you have a leak you will immediately notice the site of the leak. Get a socket set or spanner and carefully tighten the bolt that is securing the tray pivot point. I think it is like a 13 or 15mm single nut. Do not over tighten. Also check the otherside. This fixed my problem! I think what you highlighted is definitely also a problem. Hope that hrlps

Thanks for your help, I already knew about the error code and the water that has to be pumped out of the tray from other videos, but I didn't know about tightening the plastic ring, that seems to have done the trick - you're a life saver, THANKS! Just a quick heads up for the the owners of Electrolux dishwashers like mine: you actually have 5 Phillips-head (crosshead) screws on either side of the front panel/door cover and 4 on top , and you have to unscrew all of them to take down the front panel, so you get a clear view of the bottom tray!

Thank you!!!! After months of aggravation dealing with this i30 code on my Frigidaire FDSH450LAF, your solution was my fix as well. It was pretty snug, but not tight. After tightening it up, no more problems! Thank you for making this video. I have searched the internet and talked to many people about it with no luck of fixing it until I found your video. I appreciate you more than you will ever know.

Hi there! Thank you for your help. You also saved me quite a lot of money! In my Electrolux dishwasher the spilling was on the right side. But the issue was very similar, I noticed the ring on the left side of the machine was a bit loose too. I also cleaned the sensors inside. Thanks again !

Bedankt Kersthaas. Bij mijn Ikea Valgjord vaatwasser (technisch vrijwel gelijk aan de AEG) zat de ring ook behoorlijk los. Nu is het lekken gestopt, bedankt voor het posten van de video. Scheelt veel geld en ook een week met de hand afwassen in afwachting van een monteur. Grote klasse

Thanks for your tips.... fot the first part.... One alternative done by the AGE support agent in warranty was to take out the dishwasher and turn it to the left to remove the water.... avoiding to pump the water and dismount it.

hi kesthaas,,,,my pump would not turn off, i spoke to my friend who told me it must be leaking and it has operated a flow valve to stop it flooding,,he said pull the machine out and lean it backwards to let any water drain out,,probably a cup full not much more,,,he then said it should work untill it fills again, if it fills up quickly need to cal out an engineer,,that is when I saw your video,,I checked the grey plastic plug on the left and it was loose!!!,so I got my hammer and long screwdriver(no wood available)and tightened the nut,,I have only just done it so not sure if it worked,,but if it has worked you have saved me taking the front and bottom panel off and a small fortrune,,here in the uk they want £100 to come out and then extra to fix the repair plus parts,,,ps im 100% sure I have cured the problem,,thankyou again,,good man

dear kersthaas, thanks a lot for your help. Same ring was very loose on 3 years old machine. It was already repaired few times by local serviceman for other reasons. Suspect dirty trick. You have to check this ring every time your machine was repaired by alien man))

@@kersthaas blijkbaar indien de vaatwasser geopend wordt tijdens werking komt er ook water in het linkervak. Vermoedelijk de oorzaak van bij ons

I wasn't sure that it would solve the problem, but watching your video gives me more confidence that the problem might be solved for good. Thanks for sharing your problem-solving journey.
