I just have to hand it to Kate that she has such amazing editing skills. Like I don't think she gives herself enough credit for how amazing her videos always look. But just the cinematography in this video out standing, beautiful, loved it. I think there is this way of telling a story with your video and the way that it is edited. Like I do not have those skills, I literally could not do that but maybe that is why I appreciate her videos so so much.

Ahhh, thank you! It was such a fun retreat. :) And omg, I can do ~11 things in Scrivener and that's IT. But those 11 things really work for me hahaha. My favorite feature is the Split View! You can do it horizontally or vertically (I prefer vertical) and it helps so much when revising because I can have the previous version (or my outline) right next to the chapter I'm drafting. Not sure if you've found that yet, but it was a game changer for me!

It's real. 😁😂 The amount of work you're doing is so awesome, we're cheering you on with your amazing story! My project for Nano is going to be a Dark Academia esc Paranormal Fantasy Romance. Some vampires, some witches, some secret societies..... AND I'M SO EXCITED FOR IT. Tmr is Nov 1st. I can't wait to start my journey with all of my favorite writers!! 💙

I am so here for the cheesy sitcom trailer intro for the other authors 😂 I've been working and playing copious amounts of Stardew Valley with my sister so no actual writing is getting done. I was thinking a Stardew Valley farm of authors could be really fun where each task that each player does equals numbers of words written (plant a crop=+100 vs passing out at 2am in game=+1000, etc), but I don't know any other authors who play it lol

I didn't realize you were in Chillicothe! That's only a few hours from me. Sweet - now I know where the cute little town was that you were in. Hocking Hills is great, too. Lots of trails and beautiful scenery. (Just in case you didn't get enough driving on this trip. Ha!) And I'm only about 45 min from CVG. So cool seeing familiar places. I hope to get into a writing group and be able to do writing retreats sometime soon. Glad you had fun!

I'm kind of tired of so many writing channels turning into witchcraft channels... I don't want any part of that. I just wanted to watch people talk about writing, not conjuring spirits and teaching everyone how to use runes and tarot cards. I just want to watch writing and bookish content, not be constantly proselytized at. I can't imagine how annoyed everyone would be if I posted a 43 minute video they were excited to watch, and then they had to spend nearly a third of the whole thing fast forwarding through Bible studies and prayer, etc.

I'm thinking you just might not be her audience, if witnessing her daily activities offended you so. She was on a retreat with friends and spent 4 days there. They were definitely going to do more than just write. As a Christian woman, I wouldn't participate in these activities, but I also understand that each person/group are free to choose their own path in life. We got a sneak peak into our KZread writer as a person, not just as someone who writes words. I think it is amazing that she feels confident in sharing her true experiences with her audience. The internet is full of opinionated and judgmental people that are full of hate and shame and negativity.
