Got out of line mid air , tried to use throttle and brakes to straighten it out with no luck. Vekta5 end over end then cartwheeled to a stop. Bent the body, but broke nothing.

if you had a killswitch in it then the engine would have shut off when the battery got disconnected and wouldnt have fired back up until you got it sorted.

If you’re running a spektrum radio it wouldn’t mater if the power was cut. It would still run. Specktrum is only good for shutting the engine off remotely. All other killswitch features are void. Don’t know why they haven’t addressed this issue as of yet.

That's why I run akillswitch on all my rigs, plus set up the failsafe . Better luck next time guys!!

Same happened to me. I upgraded all electronics and had a super bee killswitch installed...no problems since.

Kill switch should work simultaneously with the failsafe if you lose power at the receiver on the vehicle it will automatically turn the wheel and lock the brakes you can set both up to run on a single channel on your radio pretty easy process great video been looking at getting a crack in as well I have a Baja and a Losi 5B that I've spent a ton of money on keep doing what you do man love your videos

I had an electric rc take off on me once because I turned the Rx before the Tx. That was not fun. Luckily it drove itself right into a tunnel and not the busy street above that tunnel 😱. Good stuff buds

Many years ago before KZread, I had a nitro 1/10 street car that I rebuilt after a nasty wreck and flip, roll down a blacktop road. Parts were everywhere, it pretty much exploded. After I rebuilt it, I forgot to turn the radio on and I started the car, and took off full speed and smashed into a concrete wall, once again breaking what I had just fixed. I ended up scrapping it for parts and sold what I could in ebay.

Wow can you even imagine if that hit something or someone. I've always worried about runaways hitting people, don't even want to think what could have happened to the "spectators". I use a killer bee killswitch in my Kraken. That will shut the motor down in a event like this. It detects radio glitches, low battery, and total battery loss. Bash on!!

At 1:30 u should off checked the battery connector. It was already about to unplugged. Kill switch won't activate if battery is not connected. I had run aways plenty of time.

A killswitch kills the ground to the coil if there is a signal loss or power loss (like the battery dying or disconnecting) thus won't allow the engine to start or will kill it when if it's on if the above conditions are met. Guys, I'm a subscriber not a hater but you guys gotta do better in educating yourselves. We don't want to lose the 5th scale hobby to over regulation like the idiots over in the "drone" side did to themselves.

Yep

I would put a return spring on the throttle so if you have no power for the kill switch at least it will return the throttle to neutral position. There are lots of videos on it.easy and cheap safey mod

You need a failsafe. I run the fly sky gt3b radio and the receivers have a failsafe that will work with a kill switch to shut down the car and lock the breaks. That's what I have set up on my baja 5b

I would get some max 5t tires on that kraken... if it's 24mm hex... or if 23mm even better get the redcat rampage mt wheels... or maybe something better... those are cheap anyway... I just think it's better suited to some huge wheels! Those are track tires imo...

You can't let LiPo Batteries fully die......I did.

If you had a kill switch it would not have started if you lost power.

Spectrum makes a 4200 life battery much safer than lipo and about the same power

I love it! I did have to upgrade the rear linkage to steel, because it was plastic, but other than that it's been a tank.

That's why I dont use lipo's i stay with nimh all day every day then you don't have to worry about fires and having a kill switch is a very smart idea for a expensive rc like that. Glad nothing else broke bro.

Yeah, I like lipos, buuuut, in this case, I may move away from them for radios.
