Yeah dude. That wasn't even a mistake , entry wasn't that aggressive the suspension was just too soft. Now you know why adjusting the damping for the situation is important. And why you always strap your helmet and tighten the harness. No one wants to see a giraffe tangled up in a dune buggy at a yard sale

That's why i enjoy watching you and Matt Carricker/DemoRanch. Y'all will show humbling mistakes and own them. Y'all also care about your stuff and Not act like money grows on trees. Y'all work real hard for your stuff, enjoy the hell out of it but in turn take care of it all and acknowledge that your loyal fans help make it possible for y'all to do what ya do/have what ya have and not purposely destroy expensive stuff cause ya can just go throw more $ away like nothing. I mean honestly, yes. You are exactly right. They know we are going to push them to the Limit and then try to cross it. Having a full cage on it makes you even more confident pushing it to the edge because you know you should be fine if something is to happen. I had a 77 CJ years back and I wheeled the hell out of that thing, my buddy had an old Willy's from the 1940s with no roll bar. That truck was three times the truck I had, yet I was more confident in mine because I knew if something were to happen, I wouldn't get hurt that bad. Back when I was younger people used to just bail out of jeeps when they're about to roll, but there's nothing safe about that at all, I'd rather just be strapped in, hang on to the steering wheel and let it go where she may.

Ended up under steering into a rock wall. Busted my rim, my tire, bumper, and the wheel bearing. But at the end of the day. I was just glad that my buddy and I were okay. Sometimes we let things get away from us, but like you said, we learn from these experiences and we just have to be thankful when no one is hurt. Materials are replaceable, people are not. weirdly actually my friend rolled his car, got thrown out the car and the driver side roof collapsed in and would of killed him if he were never thrown out the car, he did smash his head into the curb and gash it open but better than a ton of car being pushed into your head upside down. now i know that isn't to say seat-belts will kill you, as they wont, but its sort of the situation and the moment will decide whether you succumb to injury or worse, also how the accident is caused, not just the factor of a seat belt, although the percentile chance does increase a lot generally. sorry i dont want that to sound like a debbie downer.

@@Dockhead i have a friend that also did get thrown out of a car when he crashed, he was om the highway doing 135kmh or 84mph at night when suddenly 3 big dears runs out in front of him, he tried to break and stear out of their way but hit it to hard and the car rolled over. He got thrown out through the side window (yes the one in the front door surprisingly) after the car had rolled over twice, he landed on a farm field where the earth were "soft". The car proceeded to roll over 4 more times before ending on the roof. My boddy survived even though he had flown 7meters from where he was thrown out of the car, he had 3 pushed in ribs, a broken leg and a dislocated shoulder but are well today with no means after the accident. The guy that had an overview of the accident to check what went wrong told my friend, that had he been wearing seat belt there would have been a less than 5% chance he would have survived the crash and a less than 2% chance he would have survived to the hospital because of the injuries he would have had they would believe he wouldnt have made it through surgury even if he would have made it so far. So that again is one of those very few moments were not wearing a seat belt saved a life

@@Dockhead Cars are much more stout now than they have ever been, especially with roof strength. I think that applies to many off-road vehicles given the strength of the cages on many of these side by sides. In most scenarios people will be much safer with a seatbelt. I'm sure the statistics are overwhelmingly in favor of one, in fact given only around 3% of accidents involve a rollover. The odds of hitting something or another vehicle and being ejected through the windshield seem much higher than being thrown clear miraculously during a high speed rollover. Not saying you indicated otherwise, but just saying people should wear their seatbelts.

@@Dockhead my friend's dad was also saved by not wearing a seatbelt, a drunk driver ran a stop sign and hit him on the passenger side of his truck and the truck rolled 5 times and because he didn't wear his seatbelt he was just tossed around the cab and had minor injuries. If he had been wearing his seatbelt they said he would've had his head crushed and his spine would've compressed hard enough to break his femur on top of a list of other things. Sometimes not wearing one really can save your life.
