Fun fact: one of the meanings for the word "gorge", aside from the modern synonym for "canyon", was "throat". The dragon shall be defeated in the throat where the twin rivers meet. The ancient writers weren't being whymsical, they were being literal. Albeit archaic with language.

And Lady Briarwood is voiced by Grey Griffin (aka Grey DeLisle), who did the voice of Azula from Last Airbender. In a future episode, keep an ear out for one of the hobbits from LoTR. The cast they were able to get for this is amazing. But not terribly surprising considering they've been in the industry for a long time. For example, Sam Riegal directored David Tenant in the Scrooge McDuck cartoon, and Matt Mercer acted alongside Grey in something I don't remember at the moment.

Glad you're enjoying stuff. I do want to give you a heads up about some fun stuff- While they ofc couldn't adapt to animation in a perfectly linear way, they come pretty darn close! Major lines of dialogue are pulled DIRECTLY from the streamed game in many, MANY instances. Some of the gags are ofc pulled from table games, against technically what would be almost the same door interaction, lol. For Gilmore, apparently Matt really wanted to find talent that could be him as Gilmore animated, and it feels like they did a great job. Anyways, I'm glad you're having fun with it! The season builds on itself and gives a perfect cherry on top at the end, imho!

@The Gaming Teacher You, and many others who did not watch the Cast Video or look up the cast prior to viewing, were like, "How did I not pick up on General Krieg being voiced by David Tennant?" And my answer is the obvious answer, but not one a lot of people would realize. You didn't recognize David Tennant's Voice because David Tennant used his real voice for this character. David Tennant is known for playing a lot of British characters in live action roles, so he's always using a British Accent. David Tennant is, in fact, Scottish and his real voice is a light Scottish Brogue. Even as Scrooge McDuck in Ducktales, who is Scottish, the accent is different to David's actual voice because Scrooge is a very unique character with a very unique voice. Krieg, on the other hand, is just a straight up Scotsman. So all David did was use his own voice and make the accent thicker. Or as the behind-the-scenes put it, David went "Full Scot" with Krieg. Not a lot of people recognized the voice because not a lot of people have ever heard David actually speak. If you watch the Cast Video on Critical Role's KZread Channel, you'll hear David speak with his actual voice. Incidentally, Ducktales is how Critical Role landed David Tennant. Sam Riegel was a Voice Director on Ducktales so he knew David Tennant prior to casting this show. Presumably, Sam just threw David a text and asked if he was interested and David said yes. And we know they're on that level because on one of the Q&A's on Critical Role, Sam mentioned that David texted him after the episodes had come out to thank him and Critical Role for allowing him to be part of the family and to comment on how nice and awesome the Critter Community was toward him on Social Media. So we know they have each other's phone numbers. :)
