With the body panels being a different shade of color If it was me I would be checking the underside for either replaced parts but if it has a salvage title or not a salvage title dosent effect how a vehicle runs or dives if the damage was replaced by the owner and not the insurance company

I’ve been driving one of these for 11 years. It still drives great. 216k same as yours. Car runs perfectly. I’ve spent $200 in repairs since 2010 beyond maintenance. Can pull small loads too. Might be a good keeper to do running around in. Mine uses some oil and I’m gonna replace the motor soon so I bought a whole car with 79k that a tree fell on. Drove it home 400 miles. Drove perfectly.

I'm a huge fan of the VVT-I Engine. I have this set up in my Vibe. I did a transmission flush on it and it made all the difference. Made the car run like new, which is how it runs now with 230,000 on the clock. The trans pan has a drain bolt so no taking off pan, empty the 4 quarts from pan. Then replace the 4 quarts. Take trans line going into cooler on radiator off and stick it in bucket. Run the car and let the old fluid pump out. At some point put some fluid in so it doesn't run dry. When the new fluid comes out. . . .put hose back on cooler and top off. It takes around 9 quarts of fluid (4 in pan and 7.2 in torque converter) so it costs around $80.00 to $100 dollars total but its as fast as an oil change and makes all the difference when the car has over 200,000 miles on it.

You are correct. My Blue Camry when I bought it at a used cars Dealership full cash, the paint was in rough condition on the Rear Right passenger side. You could see the metal, it was starting to rust I had to repaint the whole car. There was dings on the doors too and small dents. It looks a lot better but the person who painted my car, left spec dust in the paint and orange peels in certain areas. It needs to be wet sanded and buff.

Being a several time Scion owner, I will opine that $2450 is probably a good retail value for that car as is. If you run it back through the auction, you'll lose money. I still like the idea of fixing it up as a Christmas giveaway! 👍

This is what I would do to the Scion. 1) Windshield 2) Maaco 3) Rims and bigger rims and wheels (not a lot though) 4) Tinted Glass (Sealed, lol) 5) Interior Cleaning, but I mean serius cleaning 6) Sell for a GREAT profit That car seems that it had a really good life, and still runs like a kitten, Great video though! I had a Scion XB.2011 that was recently totaled in a car accident. It was a very safe car an I had 335000 miles I’m it and still ran great with low maintenance. You just had to do major maintenance at. 150,000 and 300,000 which usually cost 1200 dollars. It was a reliable car and I could have driven it for another 100,000 plus miles. My insurance valve the car at 6500 dollars.

This is a great Toyota product! I have a 2006 Scion Xb with 130,000 mile and the only thing I have ever had to replace is battery and alternator. If it was made in Japan like mine it will run forever. Great Deal! FYI…. The hatchback handle is made of plastic and I have had to replace mine 3 times due to failure and the way mine front end is sloped I have had to replace my windshield twice due to rock chips but Toyota paid for the first replacement(recall).

I have a manual 15. Best car I have ever owned. Its got a lot going on, $2400 is okay, and a bad title(?). If its a Keeper, its worth it. Watch the oil. Sometimes they burn it. Mine does not at all. You can replace the trans filter, not really necessary. Just oil replacement. These can hit 350k or more with reasonable care. Taxis all over my town. Ill keep mine forever. Mine had some chips on front fender and had I had it painted (I should have just touched it up) and is a bit off. I don’t care that much. Put a stock wheel on it, replace the windshield, and enjoy it. They are great cars!

Family ranch had a 2016 ram 2500 cummins for 4 years. Beautiful and capable truck. Only complaint was if you follow the "severe" maintenance schedule for towing it will really nickel and dime you to death. Better to maintain them yourself, the dealer will try to bankrupt you. $150 (synthetic blend)oil change, $200 fuel filters, air filter at $70 and differential services every 30k? Not to mention all the EGR/DEF headaches. A little much for a machine made for towing. I cannot fault all these guys deleting them. I just wish they would keep the factory exhaust muffler lol. Here in texas every deleted 3/4 ton truck sounds like an 80's freightliner...

The disparity with colours is likely due to the same colour but off of different cars, one parked in all weathers and UV bleached, the other parts from a car that has been in a garage for the most time and this causes a difference in patina. T cutting etc or rubbing compound will do little to bring it to the same colour and the only real fix is to apply the tinted clear lacquer over in one go but if you give it a good deep polish, the difference will be less noticeable, sometimes when a car company changes the base primers say from a white/grey to a black you get a similar disparity between the same colours as the primer makes a huge difference as it is in effect the "canvas" for paint to be applied to.

I drove a Toyota for almost 200,000 miles before requiring any brake work. I don't think Toyota makes anything as cool as a Shelby gt 500 hellcat or Z06 Vette, but they are really reliable. Non turbo Toyota 4 cylinder engines are workhorses that can easily get 300 or 400 thousand miles if maintained properly.

looks like the right fender and front door and back door and the hood was resprayed or came from a donor car because the edge of the door is the same color

Scion is not my cup of tea, but if it floats your boat, go for it. By the time you finish you may be into for $3,000-$3,200, wheels, windshield, fluid service, cleaning. Could make a good commuter/grocery beater. Lexus has a 471 hp coupe RC-F or LC to replace the Hellcat or a pre-owned GS. These are Toyota’s, reliable and luxurious.

Check the door Strikers see if they have been moved... Did you know, in some places, you can technically drive with no windshield as long as your wearing a helmet with a face shield. Something else that's missing Front Emblem. Randy, a friend of mine has a 2014? Toyota FJ Cruiser, we are up in the snow and salt Country and this truck is absolute mint, she's actually had offers upwards of 35000+ Canadian for it. But the only problem is if she sells it she would never be able to get something else like it.

Is there any way you can look at/ record some 1990-1993 Honda accords when or if Copart or IAA gets any? My first car was a 1990 Honda Accord LX, maroon red with beige cloth interior. My parents bought it brand new in 1989, a year after I was born. In that amount of time my mom only put 90k miles on it. The quarter panels were all rusted out so my dad and I bondod, fiberglassd then painted then. Turned out pretty decent. Hella better then what it looked like before.
