My recommendation for all well-intentioned tourists who want to come to Serbia. First, leave everything you know and what you are afraid of at home. Think about going to visit a loved one from your family or friends. If you manage to do that at the beginning, you will enjoy the hospitality of Serbia and its inhabitants. And don't forget that the smaller the city, the more hospitable people are.

You must be Ukrainian - and you are very welcome to Serbia! Everyone who is friendly and peaceful is welcomed in Serbia, regardless where they came from!

great video. on the topic of language. The onus should always be on the tourist to attempt the local language at a minimum wehter it's through an app or just basic words. Too many English speaking countries have this expectation that countries must adapt to them. Again, really did enjoy the video

@@o_lesyaka Yeah, smoking is so unfortunate! I don't live in Serbia (thinking about moving) and smoking is one if the big issues for my when looking for a partner. I don't really want my woman to smoke. But I'm not sure if most are addicted for real or are they smoking "socially"?

@@IwillEndureToTheEndnot everyone smokes. I have never in my life lit a cigarette. And most of my friends, if they smoke at all, do it only in a social setting.

@@danicadabic9789 I know that everyone isn't a smoker. I was saying in my personal choice of partner it's a dealbreaker if she smokes or doing any other form of tobacco. I'm born in Sweden. I have experienced both when smoking in clubs, restaurants and outdoor seating at restaurants was allowed, and now when it's illegal. I can't even tell you what a relief it is to be able to sit down a nice summer day at a restaurant outside and there is not a single smoker anywhere in the entire country. If you need a smoke, you must leave the entire area and smoke where you don't disturb people, and then you are allowed to come back.

very pretty girl, cultured and educated... Serbia and especially Belgrade has a very strong film industry... I would like her to try herself in the Serbian film industry... of course many things are not ideal in Serbia... just like in any other country on the planet...in 4-5 years Serbia will have the standard of an average EU country and then the quality of life in Serbia will be much better

4-5 years? What nonsense! A majority of the areas outside the cities still have old and stoneage like houses. What will drive this change? Rio Tinto? You have just STARTED to improve. I think Danijela Ostojic and others are doing a remarkable job! You will never ever ever ever lift Serbia without the psychological area lifting the manners of Serbian people. You STILL have too much abuse and emotional/verbal violence. If you don't solve the psychological issue no other areas will improve. This might be hard to understand but it is the truth. So it won't be in 4 years but maybe 40 years. And that is IF you do the psychological work. Otherwise failure is a given.
