I'll always remember when young and the restless aired I was living in Highland Park, Richmond Virginia 1973 I was old enough to remember that at age 17 yrs old. The character Catherine Chandler and Snaper were my favorite. Later on let's not forget about Sally. I still can't believe that young and the restless is still in the air. A lot of really good soap operas have went under the knife. What were these people thinking when they canceled soaps. I just dont understand, it took a lot of poor people into a alternate world, were we could forget that we were poor people. I still love the old soaps. Shame on those jackasses.

She was so much of my TV members, when there were 3 channels. Good bye Katherine (Jeanne) Cooper!

She made the show with her great acting it just seemed a lost show without her I loved it when she was on.

Rip ilovef watching her

Y&R with Jeanne Cooper and Jess Walton is the Y&R I grew up with and will always remember. The show isn't the same anymore.

And I WILL remember KATHERINE and JILL as two INCOMPARABLE characters portrayed by two INCOMPARABLE women ♥. KATHERINE'S last scene on the stairs looking back to say Good Night was supposedly an ad lib. What a perfect Goodbye. 🏆. 👑 .

Seriously, I swear my 80 year old friend hasn't been the same since Katherine died!

Interesting that you restricted the clips to Jess Walton's Jill.....she has now played Jill much longer than Brenda Dickson but those early Y&R years Dickson was amazing but I always loved Jess' performance. What a hard damn job.
