We were once in Glasgow on our way home at night when a middle-aged copper gave the wrong arm signal, indicating that traffic (us) could carry on to his left (our right), which was where we were heading. We had already slowed almost to a stop, but started to move off when he started jumping up and down in a fit of pique. We stopped and rolled down the window. He yelled at us, "What the H.ll do you think you're doing?" We knew we had done nothing wrong and had no clue what he was on about. The encounter only lasted seconds and stopped when I looked around, knowing that there would be umpteen public and private company cameras on the junction in the city centre. I think he realised and waved us off as if we were dirt under his feet and he was doing us a favour. To this day, I regret not going back to get footage of the whole thing. The female copper there did exactly what he should have done to stop the traffic. One of many reasons why I no longer trust the Police.
