Kamloops here too bro! Maybe not the prettiest place, but our east/west valley gets the most insane sunsets. Also our central location makes Kamloops ideal for the landscape photographer. Equidistant to the Rockies and the coast. A two hour road trip in any direction will get you close to a lifetime of awesome photo spots ;)

I literally feel and have felt your pain.... To move on or to keep stopping for a photo (Maybe). Sometimes you have to just move through an epic place to make it to another. Especially when you have plans. I try to get the photo but but not when it limits an experience. This has to be harder for you when the photo/video is your primary income.

This video was a great way to start the morning!

How nice to experience Joffre Lakes when it's quiet! But yeah, the view from the upper lake isn't as dramatic as expected thanks to the foreshortening of the mountains - definitely not as easy to get good photos as you might think, but I really like your take on it. I really like the drive between Clearwater and Kamloops so I'm glad you made a point of talking about how nice it was 👍

Yeah, didn't want people to think i skipped over that bit. It's one of my favourite drives!

It would’ve been pretty cool if you had a really bright light inside your tent and took a photo at blue hour like you mentioned so that your tent could glow. It’s all beautiful, even if it’s not “perfect”.

I saw in Gregg Snell's video that you have the Canon R6! I've had it for about 6 months and absolutely love it! Can't wait to see what you do with this little beauty! Great scenic hike, love that beautiful blue lake!

Ah, the views around Seaton Lake .......... lost the back brakes on the bike while going down that hill towards the hairpin ...... Wendy wasn't amused when I told her .......... she was on the back !

So your map of western Canada was probably to correct my stupid comment from your last video where I said I drove over the Rockies from Vancouver to Lake Okanagan in Kelowna! Okay so it wasn't the Rockies but it was still big and beautiful! 😂 The Joffre Lakes look amazing!! Someday I'll get back there!!

hahahaha. No it wasn't. But, it is very common for people to think that the Rockies go all the way to the coast. There's actually about 5 different mountain ranges there!

Still a good image Brendan from the top lake. Was wondering did you buy any new camera gear when you were in Canada?

I think it is something we probably have all done at one time or another...gone a little too far and maybe even beyond our limits, for what we felt at the time was necessary for that "perfect" shot! I know I have...and you would think I would have learned not to try, but still do. 😁 Just ask Otis! Take great care...Bruce and Otis

You getting your R6 soon? Just got mine back from Canon, it was acting strange and doing mini freeze ups over the last year and they ended up changing out the PCB so hopefully I’m all good now. I had to go back to my older Canon T6S camera and holy crap what a difference there is with focussing and low light performance.
