What I love about Golden is, that the color on the tubes is a handpainted swatch, so you know exactly what color you are buying.

@@ChloeRoseArt Thank you so much :) all the lovely memories of her taking me down aisle by aisle as we gasped at the prices and went for the discount art supplies. She'd always smile so brightly and her eyes were always shining through her wrinkles. She was so beautiful; her hair was always like a red halo in the sunlight framing her face. ❤️ She loves art, especially clay and watercolour. Her husband handmade her a pottery wheel when they had 7 kids and couldn't afford it because he knew she wanted one. So many memories of going here to get clay so she could break our that dusty handmade pottery wheel (which was truly professional quality!) and teach me to make a mug with holes in it 😂❤️

I'm afraid I would, too! It would require me to leave everything locked up elsewhere and enter only with a set amount of money!

Yep that's what I did with my savings 😂 my teacher thought that making us save money for a month would be a good idea then after that we could buy whatever we wanted. I was able to save a decent amount of money so I did what my art supply addicted self would do and spent my money on a 36 set of pastel pencils and boy oh boy were my classmates giving me looks of disbelief and I just said "what? I'm a person that likes to draw so of course I would buy art supplies" 😂

Anias If you are going to correct people make sure you correct properly. It is man’s. Don’t do it though.

Just a tip : if your in the uk , the best budget shop to go to is the works. The canvases, sketchbooks and paint are really good , but go for the bold mere brushes and the Crawford and black paints.

Art Supply Warehouse is my faaaavorite! A friend introduced me to it when I was visiting, and the selection is fricken amazing!

They actually have 2 big sales a year where everything is 25% off. I always plan my purchases during these events

Same they have one in march. I just went two weeks ago and bought a bunch of watercolor tubes for $4-5 vs $11-14

I live a few miles away from Art Supply Warehouse and have been going there for years. I am so glad it's getting some youtuber love!

I wouldn’t be surprised if I found Chloe sleeping with the acrylic paints when the shop closes, and saying, “What are you doing in my home.”

I love the liquitex acrylic gouaches! Mind you, I'm more of a watercolour person, so maybe it doesn't mean much when I say I don't think I'll go back to buying traditional acrylic paints anytime soon. The matte finish!!!

Wow. This video was recommended to me and I clicked on it because it sounded cool. Well, turns out that that's the same art store I used to shop at over 10 years ago when I was living in Orange, Ca for school. lol I loved that place.

You should do a video painting with non art supplies like makeup and use makeup brushes instead of regular brushes and eye liner instead of pencils

I love the art supply warehouse, I grew up a few miles from there and my grandmother is an abstract artist so we went fairly often. I still live relatively close and will go when I need something that I can't find a Michael's (Michael's tends to be cheaper than art supply warehouse)

I looove seeing this kind of art shops that you can walk around and see everything they have!! In the ones from my country you have to ask an employee for almost everything so it'd hard to find interesting or rare stuff. Doesn't stop me from getting a lot of stuff that I really don't need though.

I was practically salivating over all those Golden paints. Golden is definitely my favorite and I’ve never seen so many of their colors before!!

This is such a fun video, and I totally get the excitement, I would spend hours and hours in such a shop ! We have this big art shop in Bordeaux, which looks like a miniature version of this californian treasure trove ! Everytime I go there I feel like I died and went to drawing/painting heaven. I usually make a complete tour of the shop, even if I just need a new brush or one acrylic color. Just for the sheer pleasure of all the rainbows on the shelves, the myriad papers, the lush brushes and whatever else I see. And it's so cool to see that a california art store sells Canson paper ! It is a staple of french schools, I grew up drawing on Canson A4 paper and Canson mi-teintes, it was the required paper on every art teacher's supply list in every school I went to. I still use Canson sketchbooks and paper to this day.

You know you’re a true artist when you get excited over rubbers.

Here in Scotland WHSmith generally have the uniball metallic pens. I've used them for pretty much a decade for Christmas cards as well as some art. They also have a bronze. I worked on a clock piece and admit they worked really well on it.

Shout out from Cali glad you went to my favorite art store! Kind of flexing, but I go to Art Warehouse a lot, its therapeutic to be surrounded by art supplies 😍

I absolutely love that store! I’m local to the area and buy everything from them! It’s the only place I get my Copic Markers because they are so fairly priced! Plus, I love saving up a bunch of money and going there for random shopping sprees and picking up materials I’ve never heard of before to try! Glad you got to experience the greatnesses that is Art Suppy Warehous before you had to leave California! 😁

When I visited an art convention in Germany I got one of the Nostalgie sketchbooks for 5€ and they were really good so great choice !

That literal location is my favorite art store. I go there a few times a year. What a trip. Glad you enjoyed it.

Liquitex is awesome for impasto and texture paintings, and Golden is awesome for smooth more realistic paintings.

Do a challenge with Hannah where you all go to the store whatever you touch me by but you got to be blindfolded try to spend the least money. The goal would be just to spend the least money you would see who can spend the least money blindfolded shopping in this place.

I live really close to here and go there all the time...love that place!
