This video is such a great concept. I love it! Especially as someone who works in Corp, I love seeing you get office appropriate clothes. You should do a video of you being professionally styled by a stylist for a new work wardrobe

I second this. I was hoping this video would do that. I don't think you're gonna find cool stuff outside of your style without someone experienced with a different perspective. We all fall into the same patterns you are...and a styling sess would be fun to vicariously through!! :)

I really like the plaid blazer and the skirt on you. Maybe try the skirt (and the silky dress) with strappy heels or even a pair of white sneakers for a more casual look.

@@MonicaChurch Monica, in your last excellent video. The credit cards that you have, the rewards where not all that great. Watch the Utuber Jake Bro his hobby is getting the best rewards even with a simple three card set up. Companies will play with the rewards, making them sound great. By changing your set of cards, you will come out dollars ahead.

Sometimes with oversizedblazers I feel you have to lean in to the baggier style a bit. So with certain silhouettes trying to style it too fitted/feminine underneath doesn’t really help. I recently bought a similar oversized blazer and rather than doing a skinny Jean underneath, perhaps try straighter legged or even a baggier, or flared pant underneath (depends on your style). I’m living in Europe and this style is quite popular right now, so I also see a lot of the women wear those exact blazers with a fitted skirt or some paper bag shorts (usually leather or black) over sheer tights or even fishnets, with a combat boot (chunkier-think closer to a Dr. Marten) and then whatever top works! It’s all about styling that really helps.

You’re so right, you could go to the same store in another town and not find anything and then go to the same store in NYC and find a whole new wardrobe. And LA has a lot of great shopping as well, but I tend to shop with a New York mentally as well. (I’ve lived in both cities, so know this problem well)

Really fun video! I'm not a fan of fast fashion, but I liked watching this video still, it was really entertaining. It would be fun to do a second hand version of this video, where you'd only buy stuff second hand! 😁

Yes, I was thinking that she would do more local to New York that you couldn’t find anywhere else in the country. I do think this haul is great but she didn’t need to go to New York.

This is off topic but I've a movie recommendation for you: New York Minute. It is a pretty good movie which takes place in New York and the main characters are twins! ;)

This was a great video! Your style is terrific and you look great in everything you purchased, even the Grandpa jacket! "These are well-liked by me, some lady that works at Nordstrom and a ton of other people".....that made me laugh!

Yes l loved what not to wear! All of your fits are great basics and foundation pieces. Zara is my go to and they have great sales. I also really like Nordstrom and I've been shopping therr for years. You're right about the pencil skirt but it does fit you really well.

I literally have that Uniqlo tshirt in soooo many colors (multiple in white and black), it's so comfortable and great quality!

The longer skirt was really nice. You should pair it with some high-heeled Tall boots. And a chunky sweater. That would look really nice. But if you’re wanting it to be shorter just get it hemmed. I know that you don’t spend a lot on your clothes but getting things tailored will be a game changer. I’m 4’11 and have to get everything tailored . Loved all your choices

New York City has the best work clothes for young professionals!!! I used to love shopping for work clothes in New York! Especially when all I could find in Florida was flip flops, crop tops, and clothes for retirees hahaha. The last time I was shopping in New York though, it made me upset to see people buy carts and carts of discounted clothes at Macy’s with the obvious intention of reselling the clothes online. It makes it so there are a lot less deals for the general consumer!! Grrr!

I have the same Uniqlo Tshirt in 4 colours, I have had them for 3 years. Literally the best basic tshirt

Uniqlo is the best!! You might light some MUJI stuff too. I also have a Babaton coat!! not the best thing for cold Washington winters but perfect for transitioning seasons.

I literally went to NYC this summer never heard of Uniqlo went in there and picked up that same tshirt in 3 colors. Once I got back home I found their website and ordered all the colors and are now my work day tshirts and go with everything.
