I went to Germany just to get BEER! | Munich Spring Fest 2024
Germany is the home of beer so let’s go and get some authentic German beer at Spring Fest! Spring Fest is the sister festival of Oktoberfest and unfortunately, we didn’t have great weather but we made the most of it! Enjoy! Cheers 🍻

Hey Judy! (And husband 😁) I appreciate your comments a lot and I appreciate you watching my videos! I'm happy that you enjoy them and you laugh a little bit 🤣 That's my aim. I just discovered that there's a lot of people that watch my videos on TV, so they don't write comments HAHA! Thanks again 🌹
You’re just delightful. That’s not complaining man it’s honesty. The suggestion of the bus and borders 👍.

Honesty is key for me! Thank you, Maureen 😁
I really love your honest reviews and depictions of places. I was in Rome around the same time as you, and honestly felt very much aligned with my own feelings about the place - so I know now I can really trust your take on places now! I travel alone mostly, so important to see how the solo travel experience is. Also trying to work up to the solo cruise experience, your channel is definitely helping in that grand plan. Loved this series of the cheapest flights - keep up the great content!

Thanks so much, Teresa! I always try and be honest in my videos. Life isn’t sunshine and rainbows so I try and show that! It’s great that you’re solo traveling too, solo cruising is great! Life is too short, so why not go for it! 😁 Thanks again for the support!
Ben, I, a woman who will begin her 77th trip around the sun in 3 days, watch you because you are just a delightful person. You remind me of my grandsons...someone who is fun to be around. I also watch your travel videos as I really enjoy them. It is truly obvious that you have a kind heart, which is what I've always believed is so easy and rarely costs anything but a little bit of time. The one I didn't watch, just personal preference, was the 2+ hour live show. Keep up the really great, fun, informative videos.

Thank you for your support, Teresia! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and write a comment 😁 Oh no problem about not watching the livestreams, I never have a problem with anyone not watching, that's the great thing about social media! Great, fun and informative is exactly what I'm going for, so thank you! 🌹
I started watching your posts because of the single cabin cruising theme . I quickly warmed to your style and now I watch all your posts because of you. I love your positivity, passion for travel and soccer, and that quirky sense of humour/sarcasm at times always gives me a good laugh. I think we are all awaiting you hitting 10,000 so we get to know more about “you” rather than just the little Easter eggs you slip into the videos. Would love to see you do a paid “ experience” in each city to give us another insight into the city although I do realise this would be a greater expense. You continue to do You and I’m sure KZread will be funding your travels before you know it. PS Your mum has done a great job of raising a wonderful son .

Thank you for the support, Ed! 😁 Most of my subs are from my cruising videos so hopefully the same people also want to watch travel videos that are not cruising. HAHAHA I try and slip things into each video just to keep viewers guessing, I'm glad that you notice them 😇 I agree with you about doing 'paid experiences', I would love to do fun activities everywhere I go but because I travel so much, it's very expensive to 'do stuff' every time I travel. But I will try and do more! My mum says thank you 😁
You provide fantastic content and your running commentary is great. Don't over-think it. Don't stress. It's not about us - the viewers - it's about you and the places you go. Just enjoy your time and we will enjoy spending our time with you. I've commented before that my favorite parts are your random observations which always make me laugh. Baby doors! Put the kids on the ghost train! 😂 You being you is exactly why I enjoy watching.

Congrats on 5000! 🎉 I enjoyed seeing your search for good German 🍺. On another note… about different videos that you could do… I discovered your channel bc of your solo cruise. As a newly single person after decades of doing and traveling with a significant other, I would appreciate more videos like that where normally a family or couple would do but doing it solo instead. Can’t wait to see the next one 🫶

The one in Stuttgart is huge in size and visitor numbers too, but a little less crowded. (Not that that mattered on the day you went) Highly recommendable.

Hi, Ben! I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and really enjoy them. I loved the videos in Prague and Salzburg because they remind me of when I visited those cities. The one today in Munich was fun because it shows me the city and helps me decide if I want to visit. I also love all your tips and cruise info. I, too, love to travel and you make me excited to plan the next trip (where ever that might be). Thanks so much!

Thank you, Suzie! Munich is nice, I would go back in the summer. Flixbus is great, I use them a lot in Europe. The countries are so close together so it's worth taking the bus a few hours rather than going through the airport process. Thank you for watching 😁
We also call them Bumper Cars here in the U.S. Also we have Flix Bus. I had no idea they were international.

Greetings to Munich - my city of birth. Here to explain: Oktoberfest covers the whole area and will be held from 21 September to 6 October 2024. What you thought, is courthouse, is the Bavarian State Opera. The courtgarden is called Hofgarten. You mentioned "baby doors" - here is explanation: Besides the main entrance (sometimes with steps a bit higher situated) around 1890 this door was the smaller entrance which leaded directly to the kitchen and was used by servants and deliverymen. The main entrance was used by the gentlemen (master) of the house. Greetings from Moorea 🌴 🏖 😎 🇵🇫 🇫🇷 🇪🇺

Thank you for the information, Monika! I didn't know Oktoberfest was so short, not even a month long! Wooow thank you for explaining the baby doors, my guess was that it leads to the cellar or basement. 😁 I love learning new things!
Looks like a typical American carnival/fair with a German twist lol

Also, I like your videos because you're down to earth, you're positive without blowing sunshine. Some travel video hosts are soooooo sickly sweet that I turn off the volume to watch their otherwise nice videos. Anyone could be guilty of babbling a bit after a liter of beer, but you do it with style!! Hang in there. It'll take a while for you to make your first million $, but I'll be watching!

Good morning, Ben ! FYI, Tsingdao beer was first initiated by Germans who occupied the city during WWII and it was made like German beer from fermented potatoes. Famous all over China. They also have a free - beer week annually !

You're not the first person to say this, Carol 😁 I'll be honest, when I travel, I travel on a budget so I don't go to fancy places for dinner and I don't try everything that's on offer. Believe me, I would love to but because I travel so much, it would be very expensive to eat nice food every time I travel! And thank you so much for supporting me by becoming a channel member! I appreciate it so so much 🌹

@@TravelWithBen121 it doesn't have to be fancy food. I've seen channels review McDonald's because they have different menu items from different countries. But won't be mad if you decide not to show that.

We call them bumper cars. Well when I was a kid we did. Maybe they changed the name? Also our schools do take our students to the fair but its to see the animals. It looks pretty cold there.
