THOUSANDS of years ago, was still the dreamtime, when only the indigenous people even knew Australia existed. it was only in the 1770s did Captain Cook happen to sail into the side of it. Which was only 300-ish years ago. Just saying NO ONE went to Australia in 700AD. and if you did, you were a British hero for discovering a new land with new mining resources and human resources to dominate and oppress. Australia is quite a young country. We still export a fair bit of mined coal and metals too.

I mean that sounds like exactly the intended use of Business Class tickets to be honest. It allowed you to get proper sleep on the plane during your travels so you didn't arrive into Australia absolutely exhausted and didn't need extra days away from your streaming business to recover from travelling. That's why they can charge so much for it - because they know you're paying for business time.

@@nems_au It was easily one of my favourite experiences in life so far. I managed to travel up the East Coast from Hobart eventually up to Cairns, and each city I visited was delightful. Almost everything went right, and even the things that didn't are awesome to look back at (hiking in Kuranda in the pouring rain for hours). I look back at my time in Australia with fondness, and I miss being there. I hope to go back someday, as I never got to experience the Outback and would love to see Uluru. Thanks for asking about my trip! Your country is beautiful! Edit: Thought I'd add that I happened to see Chad from Cold Ones when I was there. @@nems_au I'm jealous that you're seeing Uluru soon, hope you enjoy it! I'd definitely recommend checking out Cairns at some point. The city feels really special, and despite being fairly small it had a crazier nightlife than any major city I went to (albeit by complete accident I happened to be there during Cairns' festival celebrating 60 years which could have contributed). I also went diving in the Great Barrier Reef when I was there which was an insane experience (and terrifying). It's also the sister city to my hometown, which makes it a bit more special to me! My one complaint was how humid it got up there, I'm not a fan of that. Northern Australia is a really cool experience though! And I saw Chad right outside of Emporium Melbourne

But then...An unsung hero employee rescues us in one way or another and becomes true saviors in our little horror story. I'm positive these success stories happen to everyone, but Lud is just so good at telling these stories that you'd think it was a Zack Snyder re-shoot of the whole event. Love it. Also this is why you should be polite to employees at any establishment unless they're being rude or something.
