I Went Thrifting with a Retired Personal Stylist | Summer Color Palette Analysis

Good news! Sheryl is coming out of retirement to offer personal styling advice (part-time, gotta enjoy the retired life still imma right?!).
We did this as an exchange of service, I went the week before to teach her a few things about social media and online advertising, and this week she spent the day telling me how to shop for my body shape, my face shape and my color palette analysis.
It was so interesting!
There's many filters out there about color analysis but I was never able to actually tell what suited me best. Thanks to SassySage, it was never more clear that I was a summer color palette.
And how cool that she brings us thrift shopping after ? She even went the day before to scout some good things for me!
We went to Karma, at the church in Knowlton QC, and then to friperie Carolou in the dry cleaner in Knowlton.
For sure when you go thrifting you never know if it's going to be a good day or not, but we were lucky. Also, knowing what color to target helps tremendously. I stayed away from the neutrals that I'm usually more drawn to (yes, I love a good earthy beige or green, but clearly that's not what makes me look my 100%), and went for brighter colors.
Sheryl was right. It's crazy what the good (and wrong) color can do to you.
I loved her approach. It was like shopping with a friend. No judgment.
It was an amazing day!

I’ve found when someone who sees me instead of fads and trends when shopping bring back the ugliest stuff on a hanger that looks great on me. Thanking my mother and the woman I worked with….both had great style.

That’s exactly what I learned as well! Sometimes on a hanger it looks bad or different but turns out when you put it on it does something magical!
You have such a busy life at the moment, but all good things so that's got to feel great. Wow some great clothing finds there in the thrift shops. Have a great weekend
